Looks like she's had some panel work and a bit of a respray done at some stage judging by the huge contrast in front fender and door/rear section shades of silver. Still looks nice though. But how can it not? -
I had the chance to take a photo of all the siblings cars in the same shed so I thought I had better do it, they're actually positioned in order which was not deliberate, the Supra belongs to my oldest brother, the R32 belongs to the middle brother and as most of you know the C110 belongs to me.. the youngest brother. There's a few sixes missing from the photo, around the corner a bit is my other 6, an 1985 Holden Commodore, Straight 6 3.3lt. My oldest brother also has a 1990 Holden Commodore which uses a Buick based 3.8lt V6 and my parents car which is a 1993 Ford Fairmont w/ a 4.0lt Straight 6, there's one other car in the family but it doesnt count other than being a Nissan a 2.0lt 4Cyl 4WD Turbo Diesel van (Serena). Once the C110 has a 5speed it might be time for some comparison runs me thinks. -
Not that it would be terribly relevant to the discussion but I became curious after reading so I went out and checked the C110, I've got 4 different lenses. Left side, Koito & "Cursive Toshiba". Right side, General Electric & Stanley. Not that the Z has enough lights to but.... BEAT THAT!

I thought I should join in, this is me looking slightly confused, wondering whether the camera's working. That's an artwork in it's very starting stages in the background, incase there was wonderment, it's about 1.2 x 1.8m so it'll be a while yet, me being lazy about it doesn't help either. -

I'm after a .com I investigated it slightly, I used to work an an ISP in NZ so I can probably call upon some people if need be and most my friends are nerds like me, which is always beneficial. Although, having said that, Netregistry's .com price is half that of the domainz.net.nz (which is owned by MelbourneIT) so... interesting. Thanks for the suggestion.

Excellent, there's no hurry for them, if you're going there for something else then just enquire then, I'm broke this week so out of cash til next week anyway, spent my money on the rest of the EFI setup and the KPGC10 GTR Model as well as a couple of old magazine's with 240K and 240Z info. I should really keep my spending down so I can afford food and things.

Sounds good, how much does a set normally go for at the wreckers? I was going to get some R30/R31 caps but the wrecker didn't want to sell them without selling the wheels and I don't need or want the wheels. I think he said for a similar set if he could find some it would be around the $20-40NZD mark.

Or at least a price for some, obviously if they're going to be super expensive it's not worth my bother. I've never seen a C210 in person, well... perhaps I have but they don't exactly stick out fantastically especially when they don't have JDM rear lights.

Man, that would be a nice base car to start with this time around. Can you not get it back of the person you sold it to? or has it since met the reaper? Also, what series Skyline were those centre caps from? C210? They'd be good to use on my car as the 'S' matches the centre symbol of my steering wheel perfectly. Another thing I noticed was the reflector panels on the bumper you can see in the pic of the tail-lights. They're different to mine, they have rounded edges where-as mine are squared off. Was that a slight style change through the years?

This isn't a fair Poll, even Americans know the only true answer they could possibly use is "Americans are silly." as even if they do prefer a certain type of meat or find it to be a ridiculous holiday their sillyness rings true through-out. :classic:

I agree, would have been excellent, I'd love to see some of the JDM ones all together and the proud owners who've looked after them for so long, seeing as the export ones are quite seriously prone to rust, you'd expect JDM ones to do the same. -
James, That info was taken straight out of my (from the cover of the book); Parts Catalog DATSUN 240KGT 180K 160K Model C110 Series R-Drive Dec. 1974 Issue Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Tokyo Japan Pub. No. C-0140R It's the 3rd Edition of such a Catalog, the First was on Oct. '72 Second in June '74. So if you want to know any numbers just let me know and I'll look it up for you. Of course it is only the K (export) models so it isn't helpful for everything. Gav240z, yeah most sites use phpBB but I dont like that as much as the one used here, I'd also want to use photopost so both of those require payment for use, but for a start It'll probably run phpBB w/ a basic title page and some info pages. That being said... if anyone has any factory or direct information relating to anything R30 and before, send me a PM and send it my way. Lachlan, at the moment she's in her infancy but when it's a bit more settled I'll definately call upon your services, infact it'll probably be predominantly run by the three of us here, except being my name's Michael, i get to be the "Mike" of the outfit LOL

Hopefully, the small scale of this project will mean fast completion, it will certainly look good when finished. If only it was a 1:1 instead of 1:24. -
The stalks on the black fender mirrors aren't as long, as such I don't think they'd have the same effect. -
Not true, the Standard, Deluxe and Vans had Rigid Axle w/ Semi-Elliptic rear leaf springs, it was only the GT and Hardtop that had IRS, mind you having said that, I doubt many 160, 180 and 240K's in any other option other than GT (GL Inclusive) and Hard-top filtered into many places. So most around will be IRS. Oh and about the club thing, I'm working on a website slowly but I won't be able to afford domain name registration or hosting until I have a job again and that doesn't seem to be happneing very fast.

CONGRATS!! :D Sounds like a deal, a steal, sale of the f*&ken century! How is she rust wise? I know you mentioned dead straight but that doesn't necessarily include rust. Or does it? What's the Int/Ext colour. Does your sedan have IRS thus making it a proper swap or is it a solid axle? Keep me up to date. I guess I can let you into the club I never heard of, what about you Lachlan, do you mind?

Yeah I noticed that paper thing down there after I transferred the pics to the computer, thing is though, the car was a bit dirty when I took those pics, just a nice day made the paint shine. -

Frontal shot showing fender mirrors, as you can see they're not identical to the actual C110 fender mirrors, but they'll do the trick for the time being.
