Konig Rewinds
I think that you can't go wrong with the real thing. Watanabes. I see Victoria British is trying to keep up with the 8-spolk rim design. They look so fake. I got this photo from Wat's website. This Z is one hot car.

How much rust is Too Much
Was that one of yours, Mr Camouflage? I have been meaning to ask you... What cartoon is your avater from? I assume it is a Z from the tail lights.

How much rust is Too Much
These where taken at the same time. Notice I "tried" to stop the rust, but now, after bondo, it cracked. The guy I got the car from had speed tape on the doors to cover the rust. Now the tape has peeled off and makes the car look ugly. New doors are in order. Should I go with just the skins or whole new doors? The insides are good, but the striker on the pass. side does not work well, and the doors don't lock. I had planned on shaving the doors and putting poppers on. Security is one thing, but when you can't lock your doors or your hatch, it is time to think of other ways to. I'd really like to put a popper on the hatch. I might have to anyway? The 432 spoiler looks like it goes right over the hatch lock. Does any other nissan/Datsun retailer sell locks for the doors and hatch? I would assume they come as a set. They would have to use the same key. Thanks. ps. photos are in the next thread...sorry.:sleepy:

How much rust is Too Much
The bumper was like that when I got her. The front was bad also. They were the first things to come off as well as the hood. If you look in my gallery you can see photos of what she looked like and how she is now. Photo "Me and the Lady" was taken 3 weeks ago. Not much has changed sence then. I want to put my fender mirrors on, but I need new fenders also. It is killing me. I guess patience now will be rewarded later. Thanks for the info, Abas.

Free 240z
I'd be interested, but I'm all the way here in Florida. I'd really like to know what the body looks like. (rear panels, and front radiator mount section.)

How much rust is Too Much
I have some rust problems myself. How do you have to replacement the top half of your rear 1/4 panels? Do I have to cut them from another 240Z? Any advice would be great. It looks just a little worse now b/c I tried to fix it with some bondo and filler primer. (the bondo is cracking) Thanks. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6978&password=&sort=7&thecat=500   :tapemouth :dead:

shaved door kit
No problem, Bro

shaved door kit
Try this website.... www.autoloc.com Or do a google.com search for "shaved door kits" You will not need a realy powerful popper. Z doors are not that heavy. Maybe a 50lb popper will do just fine. I am still doing some research on this. When I get my new door skins, I'm covering up the handle hole right away. Good luck:classic:

last call for joy riders
Hell yeah! That looks like a great drive. As others here in the States, I could not make it. :tapemouth Maybe if I was in Germany! (Rein Main or Ramstien) I would love to drift downhill on it. Have fun and take lots of photos!

How do you like the front of your Z?
I'm not much of a G-nose fan. That is why I'm trying to make my own front. Something that you can't buy from the Z store. Like my Avater I drew, Original in some ways, but I think if I brought the PIAA lights closer it would look better. Here is a bigger pic.

Trying to idendify Wheels
You guys are cool. I had Babblefish in the bookmarks and didn't know it until my wife said something. :stupid: I was going to put it in for everyone else. I got caught up with trying to figure out what they were saying and you guys beat me to it. I guess great minds think alike when they own Z's. I really like the Gunmetal/ Black rims that look just like the ones on Tak's AE86. They will be pretty expensive I see. These might have to be the very last thing I get because all the money I spend now will be going to the engine and restoring the car back from rust. (wife likes to play around with the faces)

MSD 6AL - 240Z - Install Tips?
Has anyone seen this? http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=7065&password=&sort=7&thecat=500 I got this a long time ago and will have it in my car by winter. I would also like to know if this is right? Thanks

Trying to idendify Wheels
What is the difference between the two? I want 432 fender flares for sure, but there's a company that makes wide body panels that look pretty cool too. The rims in the sketch are Vision Hi-Revs. They were the closest thing I could get to 114.3 in Import Tuner magazine. How good do you think the 5-lug conversion is?

Clutch Slave Cylinder
I will have to change it next month. I have already used my money on brakes, slave cylinder and gear oil. Did you say that the one man bleeder was $5? I'll have to get one of those, also. Thanks again Bambikiller240 :classic:

Clutch Slave Cylinder
I was just on MSA's website, looking at some new parts. Came across the cylinders. Wanted to see how much they where selling their slave cylinders for. The post said to replace the Master Cylinder and the Slave at the same time. It is bothering me that I should have changed the Master also. It works just fine though. Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks

What model Z do or did you own?
240Z with the 2.8 liter 280Z or ZX engine, P79 head, and SU carbs. Even though the engine is tired, she will still blow the doors off a Honda/ Acura.

Clutch Slave Cylinder
Well, I have been driving her around to "break it in" and it seems to feel the same to me. I figure that if something goes wrong with it, I want it to happen closer to home insted of 12 miles away trying to get to work. Besides, while I am building the other engine (2.8L), I can still drive the car around. I just have to keep myself from outdoing those Honda boys for now. Thanks
