The mods on my 240Z: Rebello 3.0L engine, bored SU carbs, about 270 HP, tokico springs and shocks, polyurethane bushings everywhere, four piston calipers in the front, disc breaks in the rear, 1 inch sway bar front, 3/4 rear, close gear ratio 5 speed, 3.9 R200 rear end, spicer u-joints, shorter steering nuckles, strut bars front and rear, and a subtle body kit, I just love that Kaminari front spoiler with the head light covers.
Why do they make the use of cell phones, without using a "hands off" device, Illegal, but no one says anything about the woman puting on make-up, the guy shaving, or the old lady with the dog in her lap??? ( i've even seen a guy with a parrot on his shoulder!!) what goes through these peoples heads, that make them think doing these things, while driving, is a good idea?? Traffic is caused by everyones reaction time being added up!!
I'm driving down a country highway (no passing lane)....At the end of the highway, it merges with a 2 lane State Highway. As I'm coming around the bend of the merging lane, I'm accelerating to get up to speed, when i notice SOMEONE IS STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MERGING LANE!!!.. I yell out the window " THERE ISN'T A STOP SIGN THERE!!!" If this person can't merge doing 35-55 mph, how are they going to do it from a dead stop!!!??? Of coarse, in today's world, I'm the bad guy with Road Rage, and this person is allowed to drive like an idiot... Anyone else have any driving experiences they'd like to share???
I've been told you can use a 280Z pressure plate with a 240Z clutch plate provided you have a 280Z collar.....I have a 240Z flywheel if that makes any difference.....the motor will have between 250-275 horsepower...any suggestions or comments would be great.....
I've been told that you can use a 280Z pressure plate with a 240Z clutch plate prvided you have a 280Z collar.... Is this true??? I have a 240Z flywheel if that makes any difference..... any comments or suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated
Hello fellow Znut's the name is Dave (nickname-Mizer). I'm 31 years old, married, one child, living in Napa, California..... I love sports cars, and I think a modified 240Z is about the biggest bang for your buck there is!!!! And for all you Znut's in California........thank god the 240Z is smog exempt now!!!!!!!! My Z is about done, just need to repaint it.... my motor is a Rebello 3.0L it's going in this weekend.......can't wait.. After everything I've learned from Z forums such as this, hopefully I help out by giving a little back....I may not have many posts now, but that will soon change..... Z ya...
I've had my 240Z ( tokico springs and struts, polyurethane bushings, thick swaybars, strut tower bars) over 100 mph many times It's very stable at high speeds.. I think most of it has to do with my Kaminari front air dam (the front just sucks down), and my tires are balanced perfectly..... You fellow Z nuts know what I'm talking about .... Z's are notorious for wheel wobble...It took going to a tire place where the owner was a Z enthusiast, before my tires were balanced right... make a note, don't get cheap rims and tires!!!!
I remeber seeing a white 240Z in that old TV show, The Rockford Files...... I can't remeber which episode it was though....I can't believe I even remebered that much!!!!!
Can you use a 240Z clutch plate ( I have a 240Z flywheel) with a 280Z pressure plate, provided you have the 280Z collar???? I've been told this is a decent clutch set up for when you have a higher power motor ( Rebello 3.0L). Anyone have any comments or suggestions???
