What is the most attractive part of a Z?
Hey Vicky, what would Scott say? With as three varied cars in your stable, and the customization on ZRUSH, I would think there would be more to it-there is soo much to appreciate on all three of your cars! Will

240z new body parts
Go shake hands with the Parts Manager your local Nissan dealer. Take a clear list of all of your part numbers, and ask for a discount if you order everything at one time and you will probably get it. It makes points if you know their part numbers for what you want-because they don't have to tie up the counter trying to figure it out. The Parts Managers are usually asked to improve volume across their counters-it is easier to explain to an owner why there was a discount on one large purchase with many ad-ons and no paid research than ten single or double item purchases that took 45 minutes each(means if the parts manager is sharp, you will get a better discount buying it all at once with numbers you supply) also no shipping charges from the dealer. Don't forget to mention the club! Will

What is the most attractive part of a Z?
What is the most attractive part of a Z? Since there are several varieties of a Z, explain which one you you are talking about, and post a picture of the car and feature(s) if you can. With all of the pride we have in our cars, this should be a great poll-but please support the thread too-my answers(the poll selections) are not all that I want to see! Will PS, The car you are posting about doesn't have to be yours-or even in the club-but give the owner an invite, and a link to what you said! <o =""> </o>

'74 260Z 4BBL Intake
If you every drive a Z with a properly set up set of SUs, you will find that the legitimicy of your 4 barrel answer is now "beyond" you. I have driven both-properly setup (the brand new 4 barrel by a Holley trained specialist-with factory input, and a two month old set of rebuilt SUs from ZTherapy-at a track on the same day-best three out of four runs. I sold the 4 barrel kit that day, and look back only to remember this quote from the guy who told me his SUs could walk my Holley: "Tune, rejet, what every you want, Some answers are for lazy people, and some are for people who want the best performance-wanna race?" This is funny 260Z For Sale....
That car has been listed for a good while on several boards-she wants to get her money out of something she never should have spent that much on-I think that is way too high-we have nicer cars(and winners of national shows) in our gallery-not that any of them are for sale... Will.

Z driver in trouble !!
I sent them something spendable, and something Z related! It won't replace the house or the car, but hopefully it will help with both. Actions speak louder than words(even a bounce), but hopefully the (bounced)words will inspire actions! Will

interchangability of hand brake cable
Michael, I have not tried to interchange them, but they are lightly different-at least between a '240Z and a 280Zm the geometry of the assembly is somewhat different. I can take some side by side pictures in the next couple of days if it would help. Will

Hurricane Katrina
Given that this has happened, and no one with enough authority to get it carried out was worried enough about that possability to have a truely viable plan for prevention in place, I think the pivotal failure of the government (local/state/federal in that order) was not to place people and working communication equipment (A short wave on batteries, a sat.phone)at the very least in the areas that were designated as shelters in the evacuation plan with the first relief feet in the area. The biggest excuse I have heard was: "we didn't know". The biggest short coming was "you did not provide a way to know" Communication in and out is the only way to have a responsive and effective implementation of a plan of this scale. Most poeple must march the same direction, but in order to do that they must know the direction. If there were people and effective communication equipment in place, who didn't pass the info on, or who didn't listen. Infrastructure should not be getting intel first from a private news source AS with most things involving more than one person, effective communication is the key. If the lines of communication had been firmly established, there would have been no wait and see attitude-the seeing would have been immediate. Resources weren't the problem-communicating that they were needed and exactly where and what it would take to get them there was. Will PS. Some people don't really pay attention to where they choose to live, some people don't really have a choice, this dose of awareness was too expensive given the knowledge of the geography that was available to elected officials. When you don't know to ask a question, you usually don't ask it, but when someone represents you, you rely on them to ask it, and to inform you if the answer is important. Insurance is someone else willing to bet you won't have a problem when you bet that you will. Wonder what is going to happen to the odds.

1978 280Z - Here are some pics of my Z without the front ugly bumper! opinions?
The only way the bumper on a 280Z doesn't protect much is by being anywhere other than correctly installed in the front of the car. I have personal exerience! A 240Z bumper-almost no protection, but a 280Z bumper is good protection-Kinda why the US government required it to be put there by Nissan before allowing the cars to be sold! DOT requirement to pass crash testing!!! No bumper, no pass-lots of damage-with bumper not so much damage! With it off, the car looks like something is missing-unless you remove all of the signs something else was there...Sort of like taking the grills out of the vents in your hood... Will

10th anniversary 280z
We have another copy the same car with only 50 miles in our classifieds for $55,000.00 Buying a car not to drive is only done for investment speculation. And I've gotta say there were better investments when these cars were bought. in 1980 interest rates were at an all time high, at the rates available then money would double every seven years. If these cars were not bought with cash, the owners have lost money. At an MSRP of 14,300 he could have had 28,600 in only seven years. I bought a house in 1992, for 62,000, today that same house is valued at $170700(ok, it has a new roof and has been painted) in the tax acessment(I could get more) so in 13 years that probably better than trippled ion value. I don't forsee the car in our classifieds selling for 55K, (there again, I am suprised that the car(with even lower mileage) on ebay got so close to $30k) considering the only difference between it and the normal 1980 280ZX is paint, emblems(stickers and a plaque) and headlight washers. Get someone who realy knows these cars to look at it, or turn around and walk away-if that is the quality of work that has been put into the car, you will be dropping it off at the salvage yard or spending big dollars on it too soon! Will

Turning rotors req. for new pads?
It is a good idea-the brakes will last longer, and not be grabby(takes care of slight rotor warp), or pull to one side when you apply the brakes. Will

Water in the heater fan??
you have a rust through above the blower housing at the base of the vent under the vanence panel that is outside the front window-fairly common. Will
