Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
My guess is they aren't off the shelf. But who knows.

Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
I can’t say a price. But I will say it’s the most expensive on the market. But it’s the only one on the market that will clear 15’s. Honestly I have 3k carbs. I should have the safest/best brakes I can. Brakes and judgement are about the only safety options are z’s have.

With the calipers they went with, if it was rear trailing it would hit the strut tube. So I’m guessing they were forced to pick forward. Parking brake Caliper goes on the top. For now it’s a wilwood. It’s been a long time since I installed something that was this easy and thought out.

Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
Well I’m assuming stop tech has massive amounts of resources (foundry, their own tooling etc in china..). I was told ground up design. But I would guess off the shelf calipers? Only thing that leads me to think they aren’t is the fact that I had to wait for a batch to come from overseas. Since there were no calipers in the US. The kit gets used on track cars. It requires the stock MC. I bet it’s a exact ratio of front to rear bias. Factoring in caliper size piston size, then pad size then mc pressure front and rear. You could always use a adjustable rear if you wanted.

Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
No proportioning valve needed. If you have a rear prop valve like me. It has to be gutted. From looks both front and rear calipers are identical. They have different cast numbers. So there must be a difference. Hopefully finalizing fronts and rears tomorrow. Then waiting on the e brake caliper and pads for the whole kit.

Rotors are 11x20.5mm or so. I have no way to weight them. Most of the kit is installed already. But everything is very very light

Emergency brake is currently a wilwood. But will soon be stop tech

Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
Should accomadate 240-280z. Full kit. Comes with pads. I don’t know if you can pick other types? Includes everything. Even brake fluid.

Zcargarage Big Brake Kit
I am blown away by the quality and engineering that went into this Zcargarage BBK (big brake kit) The kit was designed by stoptech engineers and Zcargarage from the ground up for the Z. I am sort of a guinea pig to see if consumers can install this kit. They have amazing detailed 40 page instructions. Which in the car world is rare. I’m stoked to get them installed. Kit comes with everything needed to install and retains stock parking brake and MC. Fits 15x8 wheels as well! So light!

1970 240z restoration engine ideas
The valve cover changed from 2400 to OHC halfway through 1970. My 1/71 build series 1 has the same one. The valve cover for this time is slightly different from later ones.

Duffy's 1/71 Series 1 240z build
That’s an option. I kind of like the goofy series 1 stuff most people don’t know about. Like me, till yesterday Shortening the driveshaft is the easier route. My overall plan with my z is crate everything that I take off and make everything easy to go back to stock with. Like my stock trans could be back in a few hours at most. Stock diff would be the same.
