  3. The correct one is determined by your differential ratio. Do you know what you have? I think a bouncing needle has more to do with the speedo cable or the speedo it self. I would start with removing the cable and checking for tight-bends or rusty cable. Lubricate it well and replace. Make sure the rotating cable is seated and the nut is snug. You may want the connect it to an uninstall speedo before reinstalling let me know if you need one I have several extras you can have. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Sending out props to Siteunseen for a "pay it forward". He provided a shifter lever we need for a Auto to Manual conversion that Joe Newsom is working on. Our goal is to manipulate it so a 5speed can be used with a series 1 center console. More to follow... Currently waiting for joe to test fit the shift lever to his transmission then return it before

I agree. I have been driving Zs in the cool mornings here in the NW for 20+ years. Choke it, let idle, adjust choke, idle some more, drive to first Stop sign and close the choke. Good for rest of the day. Enjoy the process. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  8. Seem to me I read somewhere that if the choke lever is left on or is stuck that fuel can leak past the nozzle and out into the carb. That could also cause the car to run rich. Maybe worth checking. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

I have been around several MSA header & exhaust systems and in all but one the owners came back for a resonator install. There has to be s lot of members here who have them and it would be interesting to hear their experience. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Joe Received a shifter that terrapin Z provided. I forwarded it to you this morning. I would like you to test it in your transmission. Check to verify that you can shift to all gears. Please take photos from both sides and the top. Then send me back the shifter. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  20. The build date would suggest that you have what is called an open ratio. You can check by looking at the speedometer mount screw location. It’s probably a 12:00 o’clock. This a still a good 5 speed. Are you using a stock 180 rear end? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

My experience is that the white LED gives the red lens a bright red but a red LED is more dull and is similar to the stock look. Ps I bought all of mine from Superbright LEDs along with The flasher. Biggest drawback is the dash lights lost ability to dim. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

I recently spent time helping a friend in his Vintage repair shop. He had two sets one for aluminum and one for steel and very particular how they were used.
