  2. Balancing air flow and mechanical linkage in triple webers: The problem is usually the linkage. Balancing Idle 1.Warm Up and Idle 2. Disconnect the push rod links to each carb 3. Balance the airflow using the idle stop screws if one throat in a carb flows more than the other, and the carbs have the air bypass passages (such as DCOE 151 or 150), adjust the lower flowing throat's bypass to match the higher flowing throat. 4. Once all 6 are balanced, give each carb a push on the throttle and see if the flow returns to the same point. If not then the throttle valve return springs in the carb are most likely weak. 5. Repeat until all are the same. Balancing Off-Idle 1. Set all push rods are the exact same length. One way is to put the 3 rods on two parallel screw drivers, it should be obvious if the rod lengths are different. 2. Carefully re-install the 3 push rods but do not disturb the idle air flow. 3. Push and lock the throttle to 2000 - 3000 rpm then ensure the air flow is the same for all 6 throats. if not then re-adjust (lengthen) the lower flowing rod and repeat the above steps for Off-Idle

Sometimes leak happens in timing cover or thermostat housing bolts. Maybe drain the coolant and pressurize at the rad cap with 13 psi of air and listen?

This is great Chris! I think you should also put a few of the "in the field" shots to show the progress from your archeological rescue.

It is de-evolution. The internet was a great open book with simple tools for creating content and finding content. After migration from the military, it was widely used by schools and their computing science students who developed sites for openly sharing their subjects of enthusiasm. Since then marketing and business people have been muscling in on the openness and poisoning the sites with aggressive advertising. As the tools for using the internet became easier to use, non-tech people (including grandparents and kardashian followers) started using the Internet en masse and far surpassing the techy pioneers . This influx of non-techy people also opened a whole new target for criminals . Companies like Facebook went a step further by developing ez-pz tools that a monkey could use and gaining favour with the non-technical masses who flocked to the closed site. Now Facebook is copying tools such as classifieds (like Craigslist) and such for it's internal closed network of minions who don't know better. They effectively are making their own little private internet and destroying the benefits of the internet. It is exactly the same as what China did. The problem for us, and the sellers, is that we have no visibility of Z parts for sale in Facebook classifieds. The openness is gone. It is privatization along with divide and conquer.

Facebook (and Facebook Classified) is like the great Internet Wall of China.... why do people drink the kool-aid and go into that cage?
  16. Good detective work! For cleaning contacts, ideally a small file or blade for burnishing. You can also do this: 1. soak whole connector in bowl of vinegar. 2. rinse by soaking in bowl of water. 3. blow out with compressed air. 4. flush with electrical contact cleaner. 5. make and break the connection 3 or 4 times. 6. apply dialectic grease. 7. connect
  17. The s/n aligns with 07/70 so it is an earlier Z. Usually they sold as hot cakes so it probably landed in Aug/Sept and was sold instantly; however,it could have landed later and been registered later in the autumn. A clerk at the DMV may have entered it as a 1971 model year as the next-year-cars are sold in the fall. 7184 falls between the two 07 cars below:
  18. They were listed as 1996. They were from the restore program by Nissan USA.
  19. Don't forget the two 240z's that sold over $100,000 in 2018 thanks to @kats
  20. I loved that car when I saw it at ZCON Memphis 2015! The old Hoover Bag:
  21. Since you now have two threaded removable ball ends, just buy a piece of rod and cut threads into the ends then attach your two ball ends. A machine chop can turn a nice piece of ss rod to the right diameter and cut the end threads!
  22. You can modify these easily if you have a few spares. Just get the appropriate tap and die and use an appropriate small tube to couple. I used a brake line as a makeshift coupler. I cut it to lenght the ran a tap into each end to make a thread. I then took a small ball and socket shaft and cut it in two. Each cut end was threaded with a die then screwed and glued into the brakeline mid section. Here is crude example:
