  1. The early ones seem to have cropped corners.
  2. This one came with VIN 187
  3. I just scored one on Ebay that I'll pick up when in Texas. Thanks @Hardway Looks like a 15 Jan 1970.
  4. Looks like the red dot mirror was there in the Craigslist ad but it is now missing. It also needs heater panel, radio, hubcaps, ashtray, interior panels, correct plastic vent ducts, and gas door knob. A few thousand for these on top of the body work. Rear glass and alternator look right. The seats do not seem to have the belt hanger clips.
  5. The engine in the video looks cleaned up. 3 screw carbs too.
  6. You may have to scale the above drawing so practice on plain paper until you are happy then throw the gasket paper in the printer. I filled the drawing up with side-by-side copies so that 1 sheet of gasket paper had 6 or 8 templates printed... just in case I screwed up a few when cutting.
  7. You can photocopy (or scan and print) your lids to felpro gasket paper (at most cars parts stores) then cut new gaskets with an xacto knife.
  8. It may have been the result of someone's attempt to fix the problem of the high pressure pump.

Charles will you be in Fburg on Monday?
  11. We got your back on this forum. Come back anytime you have a question.
  12. @dat260, I may be in Montreal later this summer. I work remotely in N.S. for a company with an office in St. Laurent. I should be able to come by and fully tune your Z. I'll PM you when the trip is firm. For your problem, have you looked at, and compared, plug #2 (which represents the front carb) and plug #5 (which represents the back carb)? Also make sure all of the bolts holding the air intake manifold to the head are snug. The manifold seal should not allow air to get into the head.
  13. You can put a fuel regulator down stream to get you out of the water but if it ever fails you could have fire risk.
  14. Sounds like the fuel pump pressure is too high or the needle valves in the fuel bowls are no closing. Check to see what kind of pump is installed on the car. Carbs only need 3 to 4 psi. If you have just the stock pump then take the fuel bowls apart and get the needle valves to work.

Well I am dragging my posterior on getting a Z web site going but the domain is 240260280.com thus the branding change
  16. Thanks guys! That is what I needed to hear!
  17. The Precision door seal in my friends 240z driver side is falling apart. What is a good proven option to replace it with? Thanks!
  18. If you still have the small 240z brake booster, up-size to the 280z booster. It will sort you out nicely. Interesting end brace on the throttle rod. Never saw that before!
