  1. Hi AK260, Blodi and I tried for over a year to address the AF dip once you get into the throttle. You can see the pain, suffering, blood, sweat and tears in this thread. https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/#comments We tried many etubes and completely disabled circuits but no significant changes to the rich dip were observed. The experiment still is not over however, it is interesting that you also see this on single circuit SU's and we see it on 5 circuit DCOE's. There is also a video of chaps down-under tuning a Z with DCOEs and then with EFI and they get the same rich dip. I did some digging and a fellow who tunes bikes had the same problem and found it to be caused by the exhaust system. Our recent thoughts for addressing this are: 1. Putting tuning reflective points in the exhaust 2. Putting anti-reversion traps in the manifold 3. Adjusting the mechanical cam timing with the 3 points on the cam sprocket If you have no luck shaping the needles, I would be grateful if you did some runs for each of the 3 cam settings to see if A/F changes in this rich area. It may possibly be tamed by valve timing as we have these odd non-cross-flow heads. Again, great work! Very impressive.
  2. Brilliant! Excellent application of the low cost modern tools we now have. How they dreamed of these tools in the 60's! Beatles Mixer Craigslist Today

  7. Ordered "Made in Canada" Clear front turn light Lens (Fathers Day). https://klearz.com/products/datsun/240z They will be used in HLS30-00147 (natural blue) as a tribute to the 1969 Tokyo Motor Show car. Now to find a radio antenna hole blank! Anyone have a pic? Found it!
  8. Helped my buddy's 73 resto. Disassembled, cleaned, and re-greased steering column. Installed column and wheel with new poly coupler. Adjusted rack tension. Tried to fit aftermarket sway bar but the U clamps were too wide for the frame rail 8mm mounting locations?
  9. I still have some parts from your 70 that your sent me. I hope some of my 280z parts made it to your current build... it will make me proud ?
  10. @siteunseen That Gerry Lee song sounds like "Girl with far away eyes" Loved it.

  15. Super. For the cam sprocket, is it on position 1,2 or 3?

Don't forget the road rallies too. http://www.motorsportireland.com/fixtures.aspx
  17. Just another thought. What is the cam sprocket set to on your Z? I wonder if moving it will affect rich dip (possible exhaust event cause) at onset of run? It could be something to play with this summer to completely flog this horse!
  18. Ditto. Glad it is working well and it will be nice to see the numbers. Also a useful data set would be to record a street run using your A/F meter before or after the dyno run then compare to what the dyno a/f gives. You may want to bring a selection of main jets to move the a/f up or down at the dyno. If you have lots of time and runs, a comparison of F16 Etube vs F19 E tube with same air and fuel jets would be useful to see if F19 is "the one".
