  1. Sorry. I corrected entry but left the wrong right in. <<< makes sense right? Fixed now. Sorry. No I do not have data sheet. I would love to see it too I think the IC is more than just an op-amp as it feeds back to the auto tuning circuit. See Pin 7's output below. I will guess that the op-amp function can be substituted with a compatible op-amp but you will loose the auto tuning without developing the associated circuitry to trigger an amplitude lock on a signal or maybe it is a mute while tuning control?
  2. The screw is actually an eccentric and pushes the pick-up out. Give it a twirl with a flat head screw driver and it will immediately make sense ?

@Captain Obvious Captain,a rare find in your region ~120mi away.
  9. Jim, I'm not sure if you know but a picture of your car is on this web site: http://bumperautomobile.com/datsun-bumpers.html I found it in the bumper for sale ad on Kijiji (Canada's Craigslist) https://www.kijiji.ca/v-auto-body-parts/city-of-toronto/datsun-240z-260z-bumper-1969-1978/1447334379?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true @jfa.series1

  11. Just ordered an opamp to repair the radio. All is good. Old (Pin 1 is on left side above. There is a raised line on the left edge) New
  12. Yes you are getting reversion of fresh air. If you can attach your sensor to a pipe that draws from deep in the muffler folds back into the exhaust pipe then you will be able to tune at idle.

If it is really 350mi then sell on Hemmings or BAT. You have a car worth >$60k
  15. Pertronix gap is 0.85mm from the net.
  16. Some thoughts: Is the point-gap adjusting screw(below) turned to hold the sensor off the rotor? Is the sensor too close to the rotor? Did you inspect and lube the springs and breaker plate under the top pieces? Are all screws snug?
  17. Spatial Dyslexia? Or just liked to punch things.
  18. Dry is fine but other options that are also fine are: Aviation Form a Gasket ( @siteunseen) Copper Spray a Gasket (My fav) Silver Paint Anti-seize brushed on They seal and allow for easy removal.
  19. Please press the admin for details on a tribute 50th 240z or if it will just be a 370z with stickers.... and please give warm regards to Mischievous Mike and Mr. Matsuo from Janet and I.
  20. Hmmm, normally you can do both and drastically raise the air/fuel ratio. Something seems odd?
  21. It usually is fuel level too high or jets too big. 9-10 will foul your plugs quickly.
  22. Others here can. @Zup @Captain Obvious
  23. Thanks. I wonder if something is coming loose in the distributor to cause the break up? btw the fuel pressure change should not make a difference for carbs. It is an EFI trick to flow more fuel.
  24. If you dig in, the photos in this thread may be helpful: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40425-su-reassembly-step-by-step-part-1-tear-down-torn-n-tattered-worse-for-wear-n-tear/
