  1. Not sure on length of arm or angle but the stem is thinner. You can rotate the mirror so that the wider edge is on the top to get it higher.
  2. It can be re-plated. The flat black spray paint to increase value on ebay will be more of a challenge.
  3. We are looking forward to photos and updates! Good luck and safe travels!
  4. Yup. We wish we could be there. My new job is great but I lost my time off window which I booked with old company.
  5. Bad pun. Back burnered for now. We just tested F2,F11,F16,and F19 eTubes on the same car and the differences are not significant on 45DCOE carbs. @blodi The predominant parameter is the tube diameter and it acts like the main jet by making the carb richer or leaner. F19 gave the best results but a non-tunable part of the a/f curve at the start of the main coming in seems to be due to exhaust tuning. It can probably be tuned with a "torque tuner" (A reflecting point added to the exhaust system). Here is how the same problem occurred on a bike and how it was resolved: Look at how the torquetuner fixed the rich dip between 2500 and 4000 rpm. It raised it from 12 to 13. http://www.drdyno.com/AIM_2006-06.html Here is the device: https://www.tabperformance.com/Reduce-Back-Pressure-Exhaust-s/203.htm It would be needed in the header.

@Gav240z, one of the earliest export Z's had same tail lights & front turn indicators for the Aus. market... apart from the LHD it is a car for you! Plus as rear spoiler. The red car in the brochure above does not seem to have any external mirrors? Usually there were wing mirrors in your market.
  7. Lots of original parts in good form. It seems to have been blue from the factory. Here is its next in line HLS30-00305 which is also blue.

Thanks to @Dr. 240Z An Engineer dies and goes to Hell. Dissatisfied with the level of comfort, he starts designing and building improvements. After a while, Hell has air conditioning, iced water, flush toilets, and escalators, and the Engineer is a pretty popular guy. One day God calls and asks Satan, "So, how are things going down there?" Satan says, “Why, things are going great. We've now got air conditioning, iced water, flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this Engineer is going to come up with next!" God is horrified. "What? You've got an Engineer? That's clearly a mistake – he should never have gone down there! You know all Engineers go to Heaven. Send him up here immediately!!" Satan says, "No way, I really like having an Engineer on the staff. I’m keeping him." God says, "Send him back up here or I'll sue you.” "Yeah, right," Satan laughs, "and where are you going to get a lawyer?”
  9. Usually this is due to caliper (on right side in your case). Sometimes the brake hose is at fault if it is old. Drive around without braking hard for 10 min then touch the wheel/hub/rotor with your hand on left and right sides. If the right is noticeably warmer/hotter than the left then that caliper is dragging and has an issue with the piston sticking.

  11. Here is the $40 one Here is the more expensive one...like yours, a car was attached ?

  13. We has an Arizona summer here in NS hot and dry. It was beautiful!
  14. Just sourced a red dot mirror for $40 ?
  15. Great pun!
  16. It is hard to tell. I have yet to see graphs of a/f for 40DCOE on an L28 so it may be the same case. From the graph below, a 40DCOE is adequate for 2.8 litre street use (with a 33mm choke). A 45DCOE is more suited for higher rpm racing with 36mm choke. Blodi currently has a 35mm.
  17. Thanks! I hear you. These problems do not seem to exist on 40DCOE but I have not looked in such detail as this thread has done on the 45DCOE.

  19. Ever wonder what a job application or university application looks like in Canada now that we have Trudeau as a leader...note the least important question at the bottom? Applicants are encouraged to complete this questionnaire as it informs the Employment Equity through Affirmative Action Policy. Employment Equity is a program designed to ensure that all job applicants and employees have a fair chance in the workplace. Employment equity also aims to correct historic underrepresentation in employment by Aboriginal people, persons with disabilities, racially visible persons, and women. You may self-identify in more than one category. For the purposes of this survey, aboriginal persons are people who identify as First Nations (Status, non-Status, Treaty), Metis, Inuit or North American Indian. Do you consider yourself to be an aboriginal person? Do you consider yourself to be Mi’kmaq? Racially visible persons For the purposes of this survey, racially visible persons are people (other than Aboriginal persons) who are non-white in colour and non-Caucasian in race, regardless of their place of birth or citizenship. Do you consider yourself to be a racially visible person? If yes, please indicate the group(s) below which best applies to you. Historically/indigenous Black Nova Scotian? Person of African (Black) heritage? East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.)? South Asian (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, etc.)? South East Asian (Cambodian, Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.)? West Asian or Arab (Iranian, Lebanese, Afghan, etc.)? Latin, South or Central American? Persons with a disability For the purposes of this survey, persons with a disability are people who have a long term or recurring physical, sensory, mental, psychiatric or learning impairment and includes people whose functional limitations due to their impairment have been accommodated in their current job or workplace (e.g., by the use of technical aids, changes to equipment or other working arrangements) Do you consider yourself a person with a disability? Gender Do you self-identify as a woman? Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression Do you consider yourself to be a person who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, two-spirited or a similar term? Do you consider yourself to be a person who is trans, transgender, transsexual, gender queer or a similar term? Are you a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident? btw this forum has flag icons ?️‍??️‍??️‍??️‍??️‍??️‍??️‍?
  20. @Chickenman Wow, you know your stuff!!! Any thoughts on the rich dip at the start of the main that seems ubiquitous on most 45DCOE applications? It is very difficult to address. Etube, jets, fuel level, acceleration circuit, etc barely make a dent in it. In the thread in the post #376 (two posts) above, the chap also tried different aux venturi and chokes with no luck. The carbs did not seem to be able to address it. The thread digressed and was never resolved but the racers threw out timing, exhaust reversion/exhaust geometry, resonance, and cam overlap as possible causes.
  21. Not just us with that 45DCOE rich dip: http://speedtalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45148
  22. More thoughts. The rich dip at 3500rpm could be a few non-carb things: 1. Valve, cylinder, and cam geometry with valve opening overlap allowing unburned fuel to escape into the exhaust causing a richer a/f ratio 2. A too short manifold with too large an opening preventing the air and fuel to mix well resulting in unburned fuel in the chamber. 3. Non-ideal air horn length. (longer may help with air velocity and low rpm resonance to help mix the air and fuel). For @Chickenman 's great flat curve, I wonder if a manifold/header bung was used as the sensor mount or if the Dyno-shop used a sensor in the tail pipe. Some A/F transient smoothing does occur in the passage to the tail pipe.
  23. Waiting for paint to dry so I decided to compare your last run against @Chickenman 's great Holley (page 13 post #316) and against the Australian video Motorbike EFI system (page 13 post #315)
  24. The eroded patches seem to be more on the passenger side of the pad where the pressure is greatest and the lift starts.
