M3 mirrors
Wont have to cut the class, will make up a bracket fixed to the window frame. I have seen cars use modern mirrors fixed like this and it looks great, plus i dont want to drill into my nice clean doors. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/pparaska/image/body/mirror_installed_frtv.jpg There will be no bodykits and crap, other than a front lip. Basically im not into restoring as per it left the factory and the fact that the car didnt come with a motor, let alone matching numbers and it is a 'less valuable 260Z" put rest to that. I do however love the inherent smooth lines of the Z and deleting the side repeaters and rear bumper as I have I feel accents these lines as will mirrors mounted in this position rather than jutting out from the door skin. Just my opinion. The issue at hand is not whether i will put mirrors there or not because I will regardless, its just whether i kill 2 birds by getting these mirrors with inbuilt repeaters or something more ordinary like the pictured 240Z. Thansk for the input guys.

Bought another Z
ahhh, bit much. If anyone spots a 2 seater 260Z for $3000-$5000 please post it up. Looks like I have a buyer for my mirage and I will need a daily driver until my real 260Z is finished and it would hurt to have a daily driver I can steal parts from

M3 mirrors
I am thinking of buying a set of black M3 mirrors aith indicator for the 260Z pics can be seen here: http://www.ozeparts.com.au/AM3.asp?mirror=AM35050NEB#AM3 My reasoning is that i have removed the stock side indicator as I hated it and am thinking that some form of side indicator is worthwhile for both safety as well as perhaps roadworthy compliance issues. Negative points, I dont want to rice up the 260Z, but i hope the swooping lines of the mirrors may work in an understated black finish? Opinions

Her first REAL drive
You should also not that both a hoon and a bogan usually have cars that are prone to doors falling off and as such, they are often seen holding them in place as pictured above

Engine swap into 260z
dropped you an email, keen to get more info thanks

Her first REAL drive
nah, hoon is not a ricer....but could be. think more dangerous and stupid public driving in more often then not a V8 or car pretending to be a V8.

Engine swap into 260z
Sounds interesting. DO you have a digital camera or some photos you could post? I just need to do some research into stock VS. custom manifolds over the next day or two and see where it leads me. Other input is also appreciated.

Engine swap into 260z
Well technically I am still in the body work phase myself, but I cant help but keep getting a head of myself. Had to refrain from buying engine management this week when i barely have the funds to complete what I am doing now. One thing I wish I had done is get in under the flat shelf on top of the tail lights and also inside the "rocker" panels...I am so sick of the tedious grinding off undercoat/deadener that dreaming about more productive things like doing the motor and EFI keeps me going. I would definately put an L28 in over the L26 unless your a matching numbers man, its no more effort and more displacement/power, seems crazy not to. There are a few P90 heads floating around and I have been told the F54 blocks are not THAT hard to find (but i havent seen any) or you can just keep an eye on the trading post. About a month ago there was a L28ET for sale in there for around $900 but again minus the turbo.

Engine swap into 260z
Well, I call it an L28ET, I dont know if everyone else will :cheeky: I had a discussion on here a while ago about a parts car I was going to buy, you can check it out on my website or search in here somewhere. It was advertised with a 2.8 EFI motor and when I checked it out he told me he got the motor from a import wreckers and I had a look at it and sure enough it was a P90/F54 L28, the US turbo combination. Sure it doesnt have a turbo on it yet, but thats nothing a custom manifold and turbo wont fix. I dont think you need the turbo motor to have a successful setup, but call me finicky, I only wants a P90/F54. I have been in an comprehensively built N42 L28 turbo before with around 180rwkw and it was very quick also...

Fuel lines
They look to be of similar size in the photo I posted above, can have a look tomorrow in the flesh. How did you implement it? OEM low pressure pump -> surge tank -> High pressure EFI Pump
-
Fuel lines
Is it of any real value? The simpler my EFI plumbing attempt the better :cheeky:

Fuel lines
What does this feature do exactly? Any fellow Australian's know if we are suppose to have this too? Thanks BambiKiller240, your always right there with my many questions

Fuel lines
Was browsing through my workshop manual (sadly I do this quite regularly) and I noticed the fuel line diagram shows 3 lines running the length of the car. A send, return and the third goes to a ventilation chamber of some sort above the tank. Now this is my car: http://www.angelfire.com/hi3/hiper/260Zdiffremoval_oldtranstunnel.html and I only have the send and return lines, (the top one pictured being the rear brake line) so I am wondering was this a later model change or am I missing something. Thanks

Engine swap into 260z
http://www.fullboost.com.au/cars/readerscars/sinisha240z.html http://www.geocities.com/spized1969/ The L28 is a bolt in fit, the RB series will require custom engine mounts, gearbox mounts, tail shaft to name a few. I bought my Z with the intention of an RB swap but I currently have an L28ET waiting to go in, it came minus the manifolds and turbo but I will have a new manifold made up locally. The RB swap was a bit beyond my expertise (ie. none) and i priced the swap at around $8000-$10000 not including motor. The L28 swap I will be doing myself. You should use the search function on these forums and hybridz.org forums to get other information and other peoples points of view. quickfitmotorsport.com.au have done this swap in NSW and they quoted around $4k for the swap alone but not including anything to get it engineered
