The dreaded oil pan pull!
Luckily my block is out of the car and the pan will be easy access... Interested to see how your gasket works. As for paint colour, I am tempted to chrome powder coat mine, just to keep an eye out for leaks

1976 280Z Restoration Project
I will get some good shots of the rail, injectors, and intake. Meanwhile tonight I made good progress with the driver side frame rail. Got the stubborn tip out and fitted the rail in the old position. Forgot to take my phone /camera into the shop with me so no pictures tonight. I will try and get some soon. Tomorrow night is the Annual General Meeting of the Z Car Club so I won't be in the shop. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement and advice. This forum and its members are an absolute blessing to us old Z restorers!

I have been chatting with Charlie from ZeddFindings. He has not had anyone else mention the 280Z frame rails being different than the 240Z before... strange! However, he also mentioned that he was considering manufacturing and selling the reinforcement plates like I made along with the frame rails. He hasn't had any requests for them though. What do you people think? Would you be interested in a prefabbed set of replacement reinforcement plates from Charlie? Let him know!
