  1. One tip i have.. Take your phone and go into the camera's "adjustments" put focus from autofucus on macro.. then take a picture from the connections insides and you can see MUCH more of the sealing surfaces.. Many times i have seen things this way on a picture that was not visable in good lighting with the eyes.. When you make a picture sometimes you have to "click or tip" with your finger on the screen just to let the camera focus just before you make the picture! You be amazed what you see this way!! Don't forget to put it back on autofocus later on.. and put that all revealing pic on here!! 🙂
  2. I got many sorts of felt washers after a google.. google "Felt washers" 🙂
  3. I had some airhorns on my 240z... by the time this old compressor came to live.. the danger was long gone HAHAHA.. I now have a normal electric horn.. I Miss my airhorn! Oh well.. some day....
  4. I'm sorry i forgot to look yesterday.. i got a nice set but they are for a car with electric windows (a 2x3 inch opening on the spot where normally sits the handle for the window to open..) If your interested you can pm me. ( I can send them to you but again the shipping will be rediculous expensive.. )
  5. Yeah i thought it would.. there was just a short time they had the baskets.. I will look at my stash and let you know in an hour or so but i don't think i have them both.. and.. last but not least the shipping is unbelievable expensive ofcourse.. 🙄
  6. AH... Your just a 100 miles from my home! 🙂 Yes in germany they are like the germans on anything.. very strickt and precise haha! If there was no covid i would say, next time you can come by for a coffee.. haha..
  7. Vintage Japanese Car Parts & Restoration – JDM CAR PARTS (jdm-car-parts.com) maybe? 😉
  8. With the baskets (with chrome edge) like in my 1979, or the flat carpet-like pockets that came later?
  9. Those were the turbo transmissions made by ZF (Nissan didn't want to use the Fs5w71b in the turbo because it was not strong enough they thought.) I don't know the typeNR. but i could look it up..

Today it would be a transmitter disguised as a toy that car thiefs use to locate a nice (expensive!) car! They precisely know where your car is and.. when parked in a not very guarded spot.. it gets stolen.. ( Does it show that my work was security service engineer? 😁 )
  11. Does anyone recognize this car? It's Jenny's car.. ≥ Datsun 240Z (bj 1972, automaat) — Oldtimers — Marktplaats Her name on dash! On pic nr: 5! Would be funny if anyone would recognize this 240z.. 🙂
  12. As am learning language... you ofcourse meant: Vicious wolf.. 😁 A viscous wolf would be a mess.. 😉
  13. I'm a veZeran ?? Today i got that badge, what is a vezeran? Oh a Z-Veteran ! Aren't we all? Don't i get a badge for being on here every (!) day for the last few years!! ??? 🙊
  14. here for lesss.... 😉 39,90! (euro) 2103-3510010 - Bremshilfe Bremskraftverstärker LADA NIVA 1600 & LADA (aet-autoteile.de) Thought about getting myself one but.. no.. it looks like it but is not original.. The outer diameter it says 18cm about 7 inches.. maybe the internal suction part is the 6 inches meaned by others..

All that "amazon" stuff is made with "switching" regulator.. the ingoing voltage is getting "shopped" into small peaces, It's a way of lowering voltage without a transformer.. i don't like them at all.. they say it's "durable"but they say that of everything these days.. to me it's cheap junk..🙊 I don't buy from Amazon... it's a "wrong" firm.. I like/support the small businesses on the corner more..

The price of those powersupply's are a bit laughable,ridiculous.. For that money i only had the transformer.. and in my own made one in the 1980's there are 2! transformers.. i bet these "new" supply's have none.. My selfbuild supply does 0-30 volt 0-10 amp. and... more important... it still works after these many years.. (only once needed a new IC. the Ua723 i believe..)
  17. I do get a translation out of it! "spiegelbeeldig" i guess it's like mirror-image-like translated back to english.. haha 🙂 btw i had a look at dar5052 profile.. has not been on here since he posted the first post in this thread.. saw he's an apprentice.. yeah He has a lot to learn hihi 😉 As a service engineer in all kind of alarmsystems/electronics we often had apprentices/learners on the job.. We always sayd, yes, we have them there but they are to no use to you!! Hahaha.. oh well they have to learn it to.. One anecdote! Once we had a smart one.. 🙈 he was making an electrical wiring on a stone wall (Lots of drilling holes for studs/fasteners) but then, further along, the wall turned into a steel wall and.. he just continued with the concrete drill in the steel wall.. you can not believe how much noise that makes! 😂
  18. Thats what i thought! i can't see any problem in your last topic about your 280z.. we let you do your thing.. helped where we could..
  19. Nice rims for the z! (Advert saying 240sx !! 🙈 so he/she must be very knowledgeable about these cars..) I wanted to know if these rims are also left and right side like the original 300zxtt rims.. they have a patern that is different on the right but there was no pic of the righthandside..😟
  20. Btw.. you do know that euro versions don't have those lumpy things on the bumper? It looks cleaner and saves weight! (and fuel!) We have original rubber caps filling up the holes in the bumper!
  21. Sorry no new parts for the bumper(s) I have some old ones and do not know in what condition they are.. The bumperfillers i had i sold here to i believe he's called here Dadsun.. they were expensive parts.. (almost like new.)
  22. On idle the pressure seen on the meter can be very low.. It's a known problem.. To be sure you can always look under the oil fillercap during idle, but look out.. the oil can jump out the opening a bit.. If the camshaft is oiling good the rest is also good.
  23. I do have some but i don't think it's very economical to send those from euro to usa.. as there should be much more of them there... Have you googled for it? there are a lot of firms that have z parts..

I'm , as you know, also busy in the engineroom and i know that i many years ago also took out the tray out of the 240z. I didn't weld it back.. in stead i took a set of big steel selftapping screws. That way i can always take it out as it is a bit of a fragile spot!
  25. Hey Cliff, "and NOT going completely" i asume? 🙂
