belt molding
@Freez74 How about this piece? https://vintagerubber.com/door-window-grating-left-hand-side/ no image of where it goes on the car, but i cant think of any other spot for it.

bottom of door panel
IIRC thats all there is down there, contact glue should be able to get a good stick on that, although i used 3m spray glue.... If you leave you car out year round like i do, then might be good to use this inside the channel https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-internal-frame-coating-14oz-aerosol.html . I dont think the insides of those channels are painted by in factory.

@Tweeds I emailed zCarSource and asked if they had any around, they stated that they do not, is this a service that is only available if you ship your old one to them? my driver side really needs to be replaced š

[2020] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
The chassis brace fits well and also seems like there is more stability in the street driving i did today... I made some cup holders that matched some Porsche style ones i saw in the UK last year. They fit well, I can do a run of them if people are interested, I need to test them out a little more, I'm not sure how a thermos would do, but a large coke from in-in-out should fit. I like them on the firewall side, seems out of way from peoples feet. Edit* looks like i hit the submit button too many times, i tried to delete the old posts, but i only see a `hide` option hopefully it worked.

Euro Spoiler:Interested in your thoughts
I like the clearance that the euro lip gives you compared to the BRE. It took a while getting used to the chin being so low. If you grab a replica maybe Carbon Fiber is the way to go, not even a month in and I've destroyed the BRE lip after some PVC pipe hit it on the highway..... More stuff to fix.... I was torn between the lips, I went BRE because the it seemed more effective at stabilizing....

Throttle Linkage Rod Ends
Heat shrink is a great idea, might have to borrow that.

question about carbon parts quality/fitment
That does not look like itās going to fit.

[2020] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Working on some chassis braces. I was going to replicate the TEP brace, but i kinda like the ease of access with this one..... I should have used 3/8" rod ends, but the supplier did not have 3/8" rod eyes, so i upped it to 1/2". Need to finish up the rear K brace and the firewall mount.... Tonight! š

ZHome.com gone?
@Zed Head I've been known to dabble in the information technologies. But yeah do backend system engineering on a daily basis. Anyway....... I noticed that zhome.com was doing strange stuff on my phone a couple weeks back, i thought perhaps it was an issue with my phone. Interestingly if you look at this snapshot taken earlier this year https://web.archive.org/web/20200220162457/https://www.zhome.com/ the site works pretty well, and the documents linked on the left side open on the right frame when you press on the link. I have a hunch that the issue is with the hyperlinks that are present on the right side, some of the references are mismatched between http and https. I know that there has been a big push into moving the entire web over to HTTPS, to get rid of potential man-in-the-middle attacks (thx nsa). If you enable `developer mode` in your browser you can inspect parts of the webpage that you are visiting, on ZHome.com i was able to change the hyperlink for one of the pages on the left side, and when clicking it, it loads correctly! Here is the link from the red-alerts you see at the bottom of the page. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/Mixed_content @Carl Beck i think you might have to start directing all traffic from http -> https by changing some of the configuration options within the webserver (or reverse-proxy if you use one). I think you might have to also update all the links from http -> https to allow the browsers to load in-content in a `secure` way. Doing so might get your website into a more friendly state š If you're looking for a service that can help you with the HTTPS, take a look at https://letsencrypt.org/

quarter window fit
Yeah you might need a helper, I had to hammer the tabs a little bit, I think the last person in there messed them up. I also used new hardware, my old ones looked weathered from leaks, wanted to avoid stripping stuff.

205/55 15 Tires
I run a 195/55/r15 on some ZX Turbo āSwastikaā wheels and have never observed the car rub. I donāt know if there is an offset on this wheel. Dunlop Direzza DZ102. Great tire for street use, feels comfortable in the rain too, Iām in California so itās not very cold around here. I do think I could run a 205 and get away with no rub.

@texasz I was really happy with the communication with Raymond from apex breaks, his email is havetodoit *at* hotmail if contact@apexbrakes.com is not working. Have you asked him what people use in this circumstance? There might be some information on hybridZ... edit* see https://forums.hybridz.org/topic/124184-toyota-caliper-question/

Intake water bypass question
I think you can access them if you lay down in the passenger floorpan. Bring a flashlight, and lookout for the spider-bros.

[2020] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Yeah! The West track 2 mile CCW. Itās a pretty good track, I need to sort out a fueling/misfire issue when I run the card really hard, I canāt push the car harder than 1:48 without running into these problems, my buddy in his Honda crx is getting 1:36! Unacceptable!

[2020] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Went racing this past weekend, been working on this front brace, trying to finish off some models for the strut mount.

Cāmon! Own up ...
I read that as, āwhich one of you yanks parents had you in one of theseā. š¬

sound deadening ?
In my opinion, if your already getting the driver side replaced, pull up the passenger section and check how it is. Itās better to know whatās under. I replaced the sound deadening with something like dynamat.

radiator
Leaks from the fitting? Can use Teflon tape, or permatex thread sealer and see if that helps.

304 Gold Metallic
I think my 260z is 304 as well, I painted the front driver fender / light scoops with a blend of paint from āautomotivetouchup.comā. Personally while I do think the fender looks better than the primer that was on the car, itās far from what the OEM paint was. Perhaps this is due to my lack of understanding of how to apply paint at the time, plus doing everything out of a spray paint can. @cgsheen1 I really like the way your paint has a depth to it, something that my resprayed sections are lacking. Forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject, but are you using multiple layers after the base coat has been applied? I only shot a a few layers of primer, then the base coat. I should tackle that driver side body, itās starting to bother me more and more š seeing that nice example makes me actually want to do it more! š¬
