Aussie 240Z's Availability
They are getting rarer in Australia and theres a whole generation of kids, upcoming consumers that have no idea what a 240 is or looks like and if they did'nt see it the Datsun name would have them thinking something along the lines of a 200B. As far as the next five years go who knows but it certainly is a nice rationalisation to think I better get another before they go up! I would if I had the space and money! Sulio

Yer I still might go down that track. Has anybody got a weight difference on stock calipers and the 4x4 calipers?

Your favourite ZG colour combinations?
I like the idea of a silver ZG with black flares, trimmings etc. Orange and also dark green with black trimming would also look nice. I've got some pics of other nice combinations below. I thought it would be good to get a thread going with a collection of nice looking ZG or ZG look colour combinations.

Great artical and yes it does sound like a great job. Makes me want to go out and spend some cash on a new digital SLR.

New slotted & cross drilled rotors installed.
Well I finally found some time to install new bearings and rotors. After spending much time thinking about upgrades I settled for solid slotted and cross drilled rotors. Some considered options were changing calipers to someting like Z32 calipers but thought it to be too much work at the moment. The wieght issues of the 4x4 Hilux brakes concerned me. Vented discs would be nice but since it's not a track car probably not that beneficial. So I decided I wanted something that would improve my stopping power when needed occasioanlly and look nice through the wheels. The DBA rotors I got do this and look good I reckon. Pics attached. They costed me AUD$320.00. Still gotta do the rear upgrade! Cheers Sulio

"I wonder why on the fairlady everything is RHD, but the e-brake is still on the driver's side?" Thats how all RHD S30 are set up. I'm in Australia, and my car is the same.

Ah Gav...I was just looking at some of these early pics and saw your comment! You know I did'nt have my gallery pics configured to send me an e-mail alert until just recently. Jeez time flies, you look at old pics like these and think about the changes you make to your car over the years and I realise how much it means to have the car looking the way you want to have it looking. It's been a fun transformation over the years; almost like seeing it take on a different character. I've been trying to get my younger brother to get himself an S30 but he's still growing up trying to impress the silly group he hangs out with. Not a total loss, he's running a pretty quick 200sx. He's put that up for sale and has finally realised the appeal of the Z car! Any how I'm ranting, lazy winter Sunday arvo on the couch watching TV and surfin the net on my laptop. Gotta pull that canera out and get some new pics for my gallery soon! I've found a cool abondoned warehouse to take some pics in, also got some ideas for photos at the Airforce museum with Zeds as the subject.

New Front & Rear Spoilers mounted
L26. I've got an L28 waiting for some headwork but just gotta set aside some time to finish it off. It'll just be a fairly stock bottom end with mild cam.
