I have a 240z with a sunroof and two separate peices of glass that fold up on a hinges. It looks really good and since I don't have air conditioning it helps alot. It was done by a company called Le Vans out in california which is were the car is from. However some #@$%@$% broke one of the windows while breaking into my car to steal the stereo. They also did a beautiful job on the rear hatch while trying to get my subs out. It is almost impossible to replace the glass because I can't find the company. I put plexiglass in for the time being but it leaks air and water in. I have been looking for a company that will replace the glass. It is tinted in the glass, not with the sticky stuff. It also has a small curvature to it. I have gone to several place in my city and nobody can replace it. It was right after I had just painted the car when they broke in. Lets just say I was very upset. Frankenstein Z

I have two short stories that I just gotta tell somebody. I have been having trouble with my coolant as alot of you know by my questions. Well I have been rerouting my coolant lines not too much but a little. I also have been working on my heater. Well yesterday I took my manifold out of my coolant loop. So now it just goes to my heater and my block with probably increased pressure. Well I am driving down the road yesterday, and my thermostat opens. Well to make a long story short my problem with my heater was not only my valve but also my heater core has a cracked pipe. Coolant was everywhere. I live out in BFE with no place to pull off. So here I am driving down the road with coolant steaming out all over the floor, making steam coming out all the vents, I couldn't see a thing. It was horrible. Definitely a memorable time in the Z. I have not had to much luck getting the ladies with my Z. But there was one time that it did come in handy. I had just painted the Z and It was looking great. I was at work, and I had this coworker that made work alot better lets say. Well she was older then me, I at the time was only sixteen,and not having the balls to ask I was stuck with just staring the whole summer. Well one day she comes up to me and asks, "Is that a Ferrari" (obviously has no clue with cars). I say "no its not." Shes says "oh," and that was the end of the conversation. She caught me off guard so I guess I wasn't thinking. I have wondered ever since though if I had the chance to go back and say "Yes of course it is, do you want a ride," would she have said yes. I feel confident that me and the Z could have "pulled it off". Well just goes to show you that the things we regret in life are the things we never did. Thanks for Listening Frankenstein Z

Thanks so much for the picture it really help. Last night I had no headlights so I went to mess my wires and one touch and the came back on. So I think my problem is wiring. Later that night I went to trun on my blinkers and they worked. Well almost they come on but just don't blink. So I think my problem is wiring because its also conflicted with the picture Mr Camouflage sent me. I have to unplug everything anyways to fix my heater core, funny story I will post it in the story forum. But anyways thanks for all the help. Frankenstein Z

I have never bled the master cylinder, I didn't know you could. I also heard that the brake lines themselves could be the problem. I have heard of a vaccum bleeder, but if the lines are letting air in would that still help? Frankenstein Z

Thanks for the input. I have been waiting for the factory service manual, but it hasn't come yet. I have been waiting for the service manual to come, but since I have barely any patience (not a good trait), so I decide to go ahead and put my dash in without it. Big mistake. I have been doing electrical work for days. I will check out the box, and go over the wiring again. Thanks Frankenstein Z

My brakes work great, after I pump them once. Just once is all it takes. I have tried to bleed them several times but the still have to be pumped. Can anyone help me? Frankenstein Z

I have been going through my electrical these past few days trying to get it all running and I am stuck at my turn signal. I have a 72 datsun 240z. I can't get any power to my turn signals the switch is brand new, but I just can't seem to get them power. My headlights, hazards, brights and all other lights work, but my turn signals are acting like they aren't getting any power at all. My relays to the turn signals are all hooked up, the single wires coming from it i am not quite postive about. Does anyone have any insight on the problem. Frankenstein Z

I went ahead and took my car out for a drive today. Well it was fun for a little bit, at least until I opened my hood. I recently posted and was told that my head gasket was bad or my head was warped, due to a brownish slug in the coolant lines (being oil and coolant being emulsified, and that I should try to flush my system. I went ahead and tried. I let the water go through the system after the thermostat and had no luck. I cannot get any water to run through my manifold, no matter which side I run water in at. Does anybody know a way to unplug the coolant system. Or should I skip this step and start to look for a new motor. Let me know Frankenstein Z

I have this relay that is coming out of the wireharness that comes done right next to my fuse box. It is has three spades and its a female. There are 2 black wires coming out of it and one green. Does anyone know what this is for. Frankenstein Z

I found it! I took the wires off like EScanlon said in case I got them mixed up. When I took the wire off the resistor it came off with out the spade on the end, that stayed on the resistor Ha. Well so i had my girlfriend hold it on and it kept running. Thanks alot for the help. Hey Escanlon I was curious about updating the car. That little white box under the coil is broken on the side closest to the back of the car. Would that cause my problem? Frankenstein Z

Yes i did put on a new ignition on sorry i didnt mention it. I think resistor is the problem I will give it a look. Thanks Frankenstein Z

Everytime I try to start my car it turns over and will start to run, but as soon as I let go of the key it shuts off. I can get it to stay on but I have to hold it between start and on. I thought it was the ignition but I am still getting the same problem can turn it over and keep it running but not with out hold the key just at the right angle. The coolant looks pretty clean. Where it is tight in the coolant system it has plugged up with a brown clay like substance, it isn't had but it washes away with water. This substance also covers, but doesn't block alot of the rest of the coolant system. I had a question early that I was curious about for trying to flush the coolant system. I went ahead and put a new thermostat gasket in and found that the hose coming out of my thermostat housing and into my manifold was plug with this brown sluge I cleaned that out and then also saw that the opening coming from my thermostat into my manifold was also plugged with that same sluge. Curious to see if the sluge went all the way through the manifold. I opened up the opposite end of the manifold where the coolant comes out. I took my my air hose and blew through the manifold. No air came through the manifold. Does this mean that the manifold is plugged with this same sluge? I have never flushed the system. I am going to try the flush that 2manyz's recommend and see what I get. The oil just looks dirty but it has not changed color. I am going to change oil and the antifreeze also. I really do want to do some sort of test before I get to the head gasket to make sure. The car has been leaking oil out the valve cover gasket, so I have had to change that gasket already, and it might also becoming out of the head gasket. Frankenstein Z

The oil was just dirty. No creme color. I have had the car for almost ten years and I have never put stop leak in it, or ever completely changed out the antifreeze. I will see what I can do about pictures. Frankenstein Z
