Ripped off?
That's a really open and potentially nasty statement. I'm sure that's why you made it and I see where you are coming from. My point is how far are we going to take it? If we agree to follow the letter of the law then no information nor image may be posted to this site at lease without proper credit and in many cases reproduction would likely not be allowed (in the case of posting a scanned image from a publication like the FSM). I think that we are all intelligent enough here to see where the intent is and if it should be considered ok or not. I for one appreciate it when a question has been asked and someone can post a pic or image of some sort (regardless of it's origin) along with an explanation when assistance is provided as this often really helps with understanding the explanation...a pic says a 1000 words. I hope that this helps clarify what I was thinking when I typed that.

Thank you all for the info, I'll be going out and looking for either PB or Kroil very soon. Good idea Victor but I do not have a torch so the other products will have to do.

Good Toyota 2000GT Website (Off-topic!!)
I just took a quick glance at it and was quite impressed. Thank you for the link!! Oh yes, and for those who can not read French just use this tool: http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en you will see a spot to just paste in the URL, select the translation (French to English in this case) and it will translate the site for you.

Ripped off?
Many, many, MANY good points have been made here and this is quite the lively thread. Much of this has to do with one's own opinion of what's acceptable and what is not...all legality aside. Something that has been mentioned and is quite true is that if you post anything to the web (in this case) it can and likely will be copied. You should consider this beforehand. Now we also know that we are proud of our Z cars and this is one reason we post pix, the other is for reference of one sort or another. I have a huge collection of information that has been gathered by myself and others which I have made available to the public as reference and to provide assistance to others. Credit has been given where I know the source of the information (btw, if you see something on my site that you 'own' and credit has not been given pelase let me know). The only reason I share the info is for the greater good of the Z community. Some of the information may otherwise become lost which would be a loss to the entire community. On the other hand in an event like the clock that has been described or where someone is in any way attempting to take credit for something that was not their's this is wrong; also where someone alters or misuses the picture to create an unflattering situation (i.e. take a picture of a person and crop their face onto a nude). No question, it's just wrong. When this occurs it is up to the owner of said information/picture to take action if they choose. We should all think hard about what is considered acceptable though. As it has been mentioned there are some blatent violations of copywrite on this site where many of us have copied pages from a book, magazine, or service article and posted it here to help another member. This is what I was talking about above where the intent is only to provide assistance and reference to others in the Z community. However, we all know that this is illegal to do in the case of a these publications. I have learned a bit from this thread, and thanx to Alfadog for pointing out something to me. I must aplogize for making what I said in my previous post sound like fact when it was in truth opinion. As I understand it this is the kind of comment that has sparked a few recent problems and I never ment for it to sound like I had researched it when I had not. I have gone back and edited that post to indicate that the info was only opinion.

Removing Rusted or Otherwise Stuck Nuts/Bolts
What is the BEST product you have found to aiding in the removal of rusted on or otherwise stuck nuts and bolts? I have heard to use a 'penatrating oil' but that's a bit gernic, what brands have you found to work the best? I am going to get back to stripping down my parts car and many of the nuts and bolts have never been loosened are are quite stuck.

Wheel Weights
I have only seen a couple of these sets and they went for over $300 on eBay late last year. Very cool in my opinion, but a bit heavy for racing.

Wheel Weights
This thread will serve to let everyone know what different wheels that fit on our Z cars weigh. I will start it off with the three that I have personally checked. Future people should please include the weight (w/o a tire of course), size (i.e. 14", 15", etc) and a picture of the wheel for reference.

Ripped off?
A few thoughts on this... I could care less if someone were to use pix I have taken for something on their own site or elsewhere. There is nothing to stop them, or anyone for that matter, from doing this. All one must do is right click on the image and select Save As, then it's on their computer. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that your pictures are copywritten so it is not illegal either. Now what I would be irritated about and seek action against is if someone were using my pix for profit without written permission. This discussion has come up before when I announced my website. Situation was I got TONS of Z related information and pix from a couple people who contributed. Most of the stuff I did not know the origins of but there were a few items that the origin was obvious (copies of other websites like zgarage). I was informed by a member here that some pix of his were on my site. We discussed this and it turned out to be no big deal and was ok. I personally grab items I find on the web from time to time to keep in my collection because as we all know websites come and go everyday (just as an example it was discussed last year to have someone back up the zgarage site to avoid loosing all of that valuable Z related data); I will certainly give any credits that are due to anything on my site if I have the information to do so. This brings me to my next point, I do agree that credit should be given though. But again, there's no way to force this action due to the reasons stated in the first paragraph. I'm not trying to start any arguements but rather just simply stating the facts as I see them. EDIT: This is only my opinion, I have not researched this information.

building a 3.0L plus...
Got that beat, my compression is 120/120/120/40/120/120 and she will still lay rubber to the road from a dead stop (when she's warm, when she's cold she runs awful). Amazing little cars!

Cam Info Requested...
Can someone help me understand what the lift and duration numbers mean? More importantly how do I compare different cams and know what their characteristics will be like? Example: Lift .441 Duration 260* Lift .460 Duration 260* Lift .480 Duration 274* How do I compare these and know which one is good for what application?
