  1. I'm glad someone else started this post for me. I was looking at these also but want to know what it does NOT include that I would have to purchase separately. Can someone please help!? I want to make sure I get all the pieces I need (I plan on replacing all the bushings on the car including sway bars, etc).
  2. It's really quite the opposite! The US spec lights are available from Too Intense, MSA, VB (I think), and possibly at your local Nissan dealer. If used if good enough (new are still kinda pricey but not as bad as the Euro ones) then search eBay, they are on there ALL the time!! You may also try the classifieds on this site, hybridz, zdriver and zcar.com for used ones. They are really very easy to locate, especailly used.
  3. I'd say that's pretty specific! You can tell that from a mile away.

Check out the 3rd, 4th, and 5th pix on this page. This Scarab was at the Austin Z car show a couple years ago, I've seen it in about 4 shows since this one. http://www.pape.ws/gallery/2003_capital_z_of_texas_show?page=3

Yes Mike I do happen to know how to get ahold of the owner of that site... Bambi is right, it's my site! I do not have any intention of shutting it down...ever. It is my site, on my server, in my home, so there are no bandwidth limitations nor issues of the hosting company going under or anything like that (I have many pages on my server including my family site, photo gallery, etc so you can see why it's not going anywhere). However, if you see anything there that you want please feel free to take it or if you prefer just ask and you can have copies. ALSO, if anyone on this site has anything that they'd like to add please contact me as I'd love to increase the amount of knowledge and history on that Z page!!!

You beat me to posting this like. Thank you Tommo.
  7. The box is still sitting just inside my front door...that's how busy I've been lately...not even the time to move it to the garage. I have not opened the box either. It will be a while before I'm installing them but I will try and get the pix for you guys. Is there anything specific you are looking for?
  8. There was some question as to the size and weight of these items, I just got mine last night and here's the information: 28x11x14 50.00 Lbs It took 3 days to get to me in Texas and was shipped from ANAHEIM, CA
  9. He said on his site that a 240ZT was coming summer 2005! I wonder what he'll hit with that one? I have collected them from all over the web and from other people. I run my own site/server from my home so cost of storage/hosting is not an issue; as you can see the videos alone take up a lot of space and if I were paying a hosting service...ouch. If anyone has anything Z to contribute to my page please contact me. I like having such a collection while also offering something back to the Z community in the way of information/entertainment.
  10. Then there's always my site which has many of these and MANY other Z videos collected from all over the web. http://www.pape.ws/allan_and_rosanne/Z-Car_Stuff/
  11. I don't think that it would matter either way. I don't have one near me so I use one of those mail places and the people there are just great!

Hi messenger! I'm in Austin also. What part of town are you in? I'm also curious what Toyota 4x4 calipers you purchased from Autozone (i.e. 4Runner, Tacoma, etc)?

Anyone got the name of the show and know if/when it's on again?
  14. They are 60 or 70lbs, I can't remember which. Do a quick search and you should find another thread about this same thing.

Yes, I think he will loose several people that would have otherwise attended. I do understand the reasoning though...it has to do with dovetailing the Z event with the kick-off of San Antonio's Fiesta and thus the weekend was set for the Z event that way. If they were not trying so hard to incorporate some of the Fiesta kick-off activities then the date could have easily been a different weekend. My Z will be in pieces during both shows so nobody will see my car but I may try and get to SA for the show.

It's too bad that the San Antonio show is the same weekend and not the week before/after so that you could stop there and participate. Here's the info for anyone interested: http://www.z-sport.com/zfiesta.htm

Don't sweat it guys, I asked the same question a couple years ago when I joined this board.
  21. I just saw this and wanted to share it with everyone, it's highly modified but damn it looks good. Nice clean body, shaved here and there, custom marker lights, etc, etc, etc.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4534370454&category=6187

I bit my tounge on this statement but your are correct Will, the hatch glass is not worth that much used...new...maybe...but not used. Yes, this is true and I feel it went for more than it was worth...but then again this is why I was out bid on it and Chris has it. It was certainly worth more to him as he now has two sequential Z cars and I highly doubt that there is anyone else in the world who can say that (opinion here, not fact). So as one can see this would prompt him to bid higher than many others just as it would have me if I were in his position. The bottom line here it supply and demand coupled with pure desire. I agree with the statements to put it on eBay and see what she'll fetch....however I would much rather you sell it to me instead. Do be aware that any Joe Schmoe can buy it off of eBay and may not have to same attachment to the Z cars as those of us in this, and other, forums do and as such someone on hybridz may end up with it and hack her to pieces like the ol' chicken coop car last year so please keep this in mind if you really want it to go to a vintage Z buff and not just anyone with the most cash.

Ok, so it took me a bit longer to get this done than expected as I have been ill. But! I did get it done. Please let me know how mine measures up to the ones that you guys have and if this is infact for a 240Z please.

Actually, I would have to agree with Carl's vauleation of this car. It was only late last year that another early Fairlady sold on eBay for about this...and we all know how people tend to over pay on eBay sometimes getting caught up in the excitement of the bidding. I also must agree with Bambi's statements about sourcing parts for a Fairlady restoration...personally I have a series I and find if VERY difficult to locate some parts for this car and it's a US market car.

I'm with hls30.com and AWC, if I weren't so far away I'd consider it and then start marketing them actively so begin to recoop my costs. BUT, I live much too far away to transport all the parts also. It's a REAL shame about the parts in Albuquerque, those were much closer and had I known I may have tried to save them.
