MikeW has hit the nail on the head. Marine Clean nor Metal Ready will prevent rust, you must either paint the part, powder coat it, or apply POR15 to it to protect it.

The '73 I have likely has everything as it was a running car when parked a couple years ago. I was interested in a few of your parts also but feel the same as frank, looks like they are gonna sell. I did send email to you from eBay but I think I got a reply...maybe not I have sent so many lately.

Give ZGarage a read, it should answer many of your questions. I do not want to try and retype it nor do I personally have the experience to due it justice. The only thing I would add is that to get the results from the P90 head he states requires some work (shaving, etc) whereas if you bolt up an N42 head you get the same results with no additional work or expense (N42 on an F54 block with flat-top pistons yields a 10:1 compression ratio) and SU carbs; this is the route I'm working on right now. I have a '77 280Z 5-speed at home.

The blocks are different also! The '81-'83 280ZX had an F54 block. I'm not sure that I'd try and put a turbo onto the 280Z engine plus you said that if you were going to do that you'd rebuild any how....just get the 280ZX turbo engine to start and you will probably be better off. Avoid the '83 though, it had a P90a head on it with hydrolic lifters and this head is generally considered junk.

Also the non-turbos did not have the P90 head, they had the P79 head (I have one of these engines in my garage now).

Yes, I saw this the other day when it was lower. I think that it's getting a little obsurd, how high did the seller set the reserve!? It is a pretty car and appears to be in good condition but it is a '73 after all, the least desirable of the 240Z series.

A complete set of 4 iron cross wheels for your Z car. They are accented with red paint but it is quite worn and chipped. Other than that they appear in good condition (I just got these yesterday). $100 + shipping anyone? If not then make me an offer!

allknowingbald1 Tranny is the original 4-speed. mikeg I may end up parting it out yet and if I do you are welcome to the wiring harness. I have not made the decision to part it out just yet though.

If anyone is looking to buy a speedo gear to match their 3.9 rearend this part is still available from Nissan dealers for $12.47 + tax. I just picked mine up! The part number is 32703-78103, if you have read the zgarage website this is the white one with 19 teeth. Hope this helps someone out there.
