Many 240Z Parts For Sale!!
Yes, but not sure about removal. I tried removing some of the lower parts (half shafts) and could not get the bolts to budge. It may be a bit before I attack the suspension again. I do have them but not selling them, I need a way to roll the car around and must hang on to them. Sorry about that.

Whats the difference Z or Zx
Thank you mdbrandy...I was thinking this but for some reason it just didn't sound right at the time I was typing in my post.

70-73 240z for poor college kid
Tip: if it's only the body style you love about these you may find it less expensive (and easier to find) if you get yourself a 280Z. The body is the same, the interior is a little different, the engine is a tad bit larger (2.4 vs. 2.8) and the 280Z is fuel injected which should mean less hassle on those cold mornings when you're running late to class and your carbed engine just doesn't want to turn over. Now on the other hand, if you want a 240Z because it was the first, they are lighter, etc then best us luck to you...they are out there but can be tough to find a good one for your situation...again, they are out there just keep looking. :classic: Welcome to the club too!!

Whats the difference Z or Zx
Clarification... the 2.8 was in both the 280Z and the 280ZX. The ZX was introduced in 1980 as I recall, which was also the Z car's 10th anniversary and the 280ZX was only made through '83 then in '84 the 300ZX came out which had the 3.0 in it.

Many 240Z Parts For Sale!!
Sorry man, it's been REALLY busy around here lately (baby in hospital and wife who can not drive for another week, doctor's orders). I do not have a set of wheels for sale at this time. The car in my avitar is my driver...the parts car was a huge rust bucket with steel wheels on it.

Many 240Z Parts For Sale!!
Armrests and pull handle were sold months ago, there were no chorme trip pieces with the handle though so I still would not have had what you needed. This Z should have been shot years ago! It's from the Texas coast and we all know what a moist salty environment will do to a car like this...can you say swiss cheese...Fred Flintstone-mobile...the list goes on and one but the short of it is that it would have cost a fortune to fix (an entire new body!).

Beware of George G. Robbins (aka: reddat)!!!
Many emails have been exchanged and the guy is just blind, I sent a pic of the item he sold me and what I was expecting and still couldn't see the difference (a chimp could tell!). The item I was expecting I even sent a pic of it to him before I bid and he confirmed that it was what he had (the pic in his auction sucked and he would not provide another one). I only placed his other info on here to help people be aware of who he is incase he tries selling outside of eBay they would know it's the same guy. If here were to post here nobody would know it unless he joins this forum (or any other one for that matter) as reddat. Really just trying to help keep others from having problems with him. Sorry if you felt the info was inappropriate; it's just hard to avoid someone if you do not know who he is that's all. Neg feedback will be left for him! He has several negatives and neutrals for shipping cost, bad items, and poor communication but his over all rating is good which is why I bought from him. Should have trusted my gut and passed. At least we are only talking about a total loss of $25 and not more.

Beware of George G. Robbins (aka: reddat)!!!
Just a warning to all who buy Z parts online, there's a guy on eBay that is located in Houston, Tx. that sells Z parts on eBay under the name reddat who's real name is XXXXXXX and contact info is (this is ONLY so you know who he is if you come across him and want to avoid doing business with him): XXXXXXXXX This guy really gives the Z crowd a bad name by selling falsely advertised items. When asked for a better description and provided a picture he assurred me that what I provided a picture of is what he was selling but when it arrived it was something completely different. I then send a picture of his item and what he said it was side by side and he still could not see the obvious differences! Refused to take the item back then told me to "get a life". This guy is a worldclass jerk! Please be careful if you choose to do business with him...he'll also screw you on shipping (charged me $10 on something he only paid $3.53 to send in a reused box). Lesson learned. If the guy can't figure out how to take good pix or even view a pic sent to him he's probably not capable of accurately describing what he's selling either.

Taking The Block Apart While Still In The Car
No doubt that kyleh is a little confused on what's going on here not to mention that he is new and does not realize that we are a more mature crowd and do not appreciate the rude childish comments as much as on some others websites. Does not even sound as though he has anything to contribute here...what is a 230Z any how? A fart can?? So and so looks gay?? Come on now. Looked up his other posts and he does not even appear to have a Z nor have any real interest in them. See the other posts: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=145936 Well, welcome to the club any how.

Taking The Block Apart While Still In The Car
The only reason I even was looking into it is because I have two people interested in some of the parts. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my time because this is what I figured.

Taking The Block Apart While Still In The Car
Not completely true, if it were to be damaged I wouldn't sell it I'd end up trashing it that is unless it was repairable but the buyer would know it's condition up front. It sucks when you get screwed by a seller who does not tell you these kinds of things (first hand experience talking here). Well that does sound like WAY more work than I was hoping for, maybe I'll pass on doing this.

Taking The Block Apart While Still In The Car
On my parts car I'd like to remove the oil pan, crank, pistons, rods, etc without removing the block from the car. How is this done and is it worth the effort (I'm just selling the parts to fund my project)...time vs. money for the parts I sell? I already have the head off, removing the water pump and front cover should not be a problem. Oh and the radiator is out also so this will not be in my way either, nor will the A/C compressor or alternator as those have also been removed. Any help would be great!! Thank you in advance. :classic:

Many 240Z Parts For Sale!!
Sure I'd sell them, only thing is the block is still in the car and I do not know how to pull the parts you need. I'd sell ya the block with the parts still in it if you want to pay the shipping, or if you can tell me how to remove the parts you need with the block in the car still I'll give it a shot. There is another person who has asked for the rods first but he only wants the rods, no other parts nor the whole block.

240 lower center valance
No sweat mdbrandy, to get all three pieces will cost well over $400 from Chloe though, the used parts I have would be much cheaper of course...but they are used so if someone wants new...

LD-28 crankshaft for sale
Hey Ben, any luck in getting that gas peddle and the bracket for the hand throttle off the car for me? I know you said you didn't have any easy way to remove the bracket last time we spoke but was hoping that you were able to get this part since then.

Many 240Z Parts For Sale!!
Yes, this is a 240Z radiator and will fit in all years of the 240Z. I do not think that it matters if the tranny is auto or not since the transmission oil cooler in most cars is seperate from the radiator (please correct me if I'm wrong). Any how this came out of a manual so it will work in your car. I just pulled this part a couple days ago so it just needs boxed up and it's ready to go. Please let me know if you want it and for how much (also include your shipping address in a PM so I can get you a shipping price).
