I get my #2 Moderna May 13 and then I'll quit masking, they stink like $^!# or maybe that's just my breathe? Anyhow now I'm gonna have to start shaving again and that was a nice break from normal life for me. I most definitely will continue washing my hands, that's something I've always been freaky about so no change there. I can see the light at other end finally I just hope it stays lit. Thank you all again for putting up with my crazy arse.

I wear underwear. Why? I just do. They keep things in.
  3. I've not heard too much on exhaust seats being worn out. Intakes that are bronze, definitely but not exhaust. I guess if the adjustment was really off they could get damage? My machinist told me the big intake seats are the same as a Dodge hemi motor so they were cheap as that's a popular motor nowadays. I too would look for an older head and start over. I know where an n42 is in an older junkyard for $100 and that includes the n42 intake. My $.02.

Another trick that makes things easier! You should write a book. We all could assist by adding our tricks/cheats. Call it "A to Zs, refurbishing Z cars".

You're who I learned that from! Take that elbow off and lay it on whatever you choose and lightly tap an impression on the material. Cut it out with an exacto knife and a hole punch.

I agree with surface rust. They can run a geglazer or hone down and clean that off.

There's more commercials on the news channels now than ever. I'm switching from cable to streaming when I have time to spend and figure it out. Xfinity is flogging me with $^!# emails after I complained a week ago. They use the confusion manipulation tactic so it takes some time.
  8. I would also play on the 2+2 roominess, if I remember right you talked about. There isn't much difference on the outside look but the interior offers more room for bigger folks. Like a mattress.
  9. I agree with craigslist but don't dare put your info on there. Make people go through their email setup. If you have a isp like comcast you should make a second or whichever email address just for the sale. I get 4 with comcast.net

I've been on the wrong side of the law since I was 14. Now I'm trying to be respectful but have never felt so alone and worried about day to day in my life. I know it's up to me and my decisions going foward. Hopefully things will get back to normal as fast as possible. I'm tired of watching television. I can honestly say classiczcars.com has been my lifeline during all this. I don't consider what we say and share as social media, it's not. I really feel like family here and I appreciate that. This is helping me through these weird times by trying to help others with a car problem that I can actually help. So get out there and tear up these Zs! Y'all are keeping me sane. (well mostly). Stick together and help others when you can. Open a door for someone, help somebody fix a door. It feels the same.
  11. They're out there. Be patient and one will find you.

So it's not an air leak. That's good but I'd still want to fix it I guess. Not too important if it's secured to the butterfly.
  13. I had to go for beer and took some shots of my untouched 9/76. There's some kind of flat bracket on both sides but nothing attached. Buyer beware.

Is the screw missing or installed from the other side? Looks like it's missing and I'd guess that's a problem, maybe unrelated to what you have going on but I would get one in there asap.
  15. @rturbo 930 You're saying this is factory? I have a 280 downstairs but don't want to crawl under it to take a picture.
  16. Well I hate to say but that cars been hit. Silver is one of if not the hardest to touch up paint and the front gap on the passenger's door is pretty wide. See the difference in the paint of the door and the rear quarter in this picture. It's stance looks off too. Kind of bowed in the middle. Could have a newer front end? or rear? @Patcon could be better help than me. I just drive them.
  17. Not necessarily by the looks of the rest of the the underside. It makes me think someone took care of it or did the right thing instead of ignoring a problem. Most of them get damaged when people run over stuff, or jack them up in the wrong spots. It could be that some garage damaged them and had to repair their mistake. I think pictures of the floor pans under the floor mats would be helpful in determining the rust. If they look okay I would think the rails were boxed in to repair some type of damage? The roof holds these cars together, not so much those rails. If it has a sunroof somebody tried to sturdy up the car maybe. I'm just guessing. Look at the back of the roof above the small rear windows for any cracking. Here's a pic I have of my 240 with original paint job. I bought it of course!
  18. I remember your car. Good luck with the sale, sorry I can't help with pricing I bought mine when they were still cheap.
  19. I found a picture of the stock under body frame rails on one of the cars I had. The car you're looking at.
  20. Here's a good write-up on EFI to carbs to read over. He covers everything you'll need and it's very reader friendly.
  21. That's funny Zed Head! It's late o'here at my house but I watched it and got a good laugh. Thanks.
  22. Looks good too! I forgot about the overall.
  23. I'd leave it alone, less is best on cylinder head repairs I say. What the hell are we looking at here? I've never seen valves like that but I'm no mechanic.
  24. The best things happen early! Sometimes I stay up all night just to be early.
  25. Hell I'm thinking I'm older than you but you come up some deep hippie music and I scratch my head, put another stamp on my tongue.
