  1. If they're from ztherapy there most likely SMs unless you specified different. Post #11 has some info. The fat end has a stamp number if I remember right. So you'd have to pull them to see. https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/59153-modified-su-carb-needles-for-l28/#comment-537325

Here's a screen grab from the "efi and fuel" of the link I posted last. It's under the 2nd "fuel pump" heading. Thank you and I hope you had a nice Easter Sunday too.
  3. The races! Thats what have to be driven down and seated. Not the bearings. Sorry.
  4. I'm sorry. I can't really say from the video. That aren't too expensive if I remember right so I suggest new, since your there. I remember using the old ones to drive in the new ones, I think. It's been some years ago. Maybe a big socket to get the old ones out?

    Less is best.
  6. No you do not. Zed Head helps so many people in different threads it gets confusing sometimes. I do it all the time.
  7. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/frontwheelbearings/index.html I went by this. I use lacquer thinner for degreaser. Good luck

It sounds like a fuel problem to me also. It may be the coolant sensor problem that is so common on the EFI cars. I had to do mine and now it runs great. Here's a link that explains it. Mine ran like crap up to about 2,500 RPM then started pulling good the rest of the way up. https://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/tempsensorpot/index.html Have you installed a cheap clear plastic filter coming right out of the fuel tank to check for any trash in the tank? That's an easy way to see what kind of shape your tank is in plus it's another filter for these old cars. Here's the link I followed to do my '77. It goes before the pump so it's a cheap low pressure filter. https://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/g3filter/index.htm Here's the Tech Tip page, very useful. Lots of good pictures too. https://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/ I haven't a clue about covering the hole on your throttle stop dash pot but I've always read it should be "open to the atmosphere"??? Anyway someone smarter will chime in and say. Engine bay looks great and welcome to classiczcars.com. Cliff

@Racer X would you have any pics of the chambers after the porting? I have one I started grinding on after bigger valves were done but I got skeered I's gonna ruin a nice head. I'll get it out tomorrow maybe, it's cold down here. Damn near 40F out there now. Brrrrr... Take some photos of what I've done and what I need to do Sorry for the hijack @Wally but at least I didn't make any fellatio jokes. It was HARD.

http://xenonzcar.com/s30/heads.html https://datsunzgarage.us/heads/ Read the "p79 mods" page on datsunzgarage. That's pretty much the best, money wise and performance. Shave it pretty good and shims plus earlier valves. A lot of guys on here run that head modded that way. You can do all of that to get in the 10s on compression or just put flat tops in your block.
  12. The new label he posted has that date. 4/1/2021
  13. Yes, the 4oz size is the difference for lower numbers in the last column. I still can't understand the 491 being the same for a gallon then also 4oz but I mixed PPG house paint back in the early '90s. Now it's all automated. I'm sure you'll do a test spot first before touch up work. Maybe the gallon label has some original paint somewhere on it.
  14. I measured my original N47 off my 280, I'm sure it's never been touched and it measured 4.25 inches which is 107.95mm. Probably measured some grease too. I would just do the basics and have a good solid car you won't have to worry about. I jumped out of the gate at first on my 2.8 build but was talked down by some guys that have "been there done that" people. I know I'll get scorned for this but I read a long time ago, before ethanol was added to our gas, flat tops in an N42 block with an N42 head was as easy and about as cheap a good running combo you could do. I have the flat tops out of a ZX motor I took apart but the car runs fines and I don't have the energy to tear it apart just to add those. They're fun cars to drive as is and you won't out run any of the new cars so just put a good motor together, add a header and 2.5" exhaust and drive it like you stole it. I beat the hell out my 280 on 87 pump gas and it begs to be driven every time I go downstairs but I'd rather work around my house and drink beer. The car's value is going up so I let it sit most of the time. Too many idiots on the roads around here. Double for the 240. It ain't going nowhere.

Y'all have some hard shelled bugs up that way with good aim I guess. I worry more about the rear lights than anything. I had a friend leave her bicycle in my garage after we rode one day. She left it behind the 240 on it's kickstand. I saw that the next morning and put it in the bed of my truck, outside the garage. Called and told her where it was and why. Haven't talked to her too much since then.
  16. Wow, those formulas are way different. Is one a gallon formula and the other a quart? Or is it for 2 separate base paints? Same amount of red/orange for both though. I'm talking about the one from 4/1/21 by the way.

I bought the straight chrome from futofab and really like them. Cheaper shipping from him on the East coast side. They still look like the day I unboxed them. I was worried they may rust on the unseen insides but haven't. Rubber's for tires not bumpers.
  18. I don't think that head's been cut. It can be measured from the bottom to the top edge to be certain. Does it have bronze valve seats? A spray oiling bar? If you find an older machinist they can make that one like new for pretty cheap. They're good heads with square exhaust ports. You need an oiling cam but that'd be easy to find, probably from someone on here? I may have one in storage on an n47? Can't remember if I used it as a core to the cam guys? I can look though.
  19. I removed the egr and thermal switch plus the warming plate on my '77. I think the bcdd and tps, cold start valve would be best left on the motor. They serve a good purpose in my reading and I've read so much now I forget. Too much too soon before my rebuild of the efi motor.
  20. You woke up thinking about Disney Princesses?
  21. Thank you @AZ-240z. That's the one I remember seeing that looked so good. Right down to the torque paint. Fantastic job.
  22. Just saw something. Was it @CanTechZ that did a 918 recently? Maybe he's the one I'm thinking of? Please be the one! Or MotorMan7. Both do outstanding work and I only hope one day I could hire out my restoration. But I'm going to drive it until I can't get wheelchair in the hatch. A folding walker will fit fine until then.
  23. Didn't @motorman7 do a 918 recently? Somebody did and driving me crazy trying to remember. Just the other day someone said PPG auto paint suppliers have the old mixtures formulas for our cars. Can't remember that thread either. I'm losing my mind!

It may have had a spoiler sometime in it's life. Mine does and the holes are filled in, emblems are mounted on the spoiler.
