Machining cylinder head for more compression?
My '73 pistons aren't valve notched like your's. Maybe a European, N. America thing? I would highly recommend new nuts for the TC rods. They're one use locking and I can tell you from experience and many other's experiences I've read, reuse of the old ones and they'll eventually come off. Small price for 2 new pinch nuts and peace of mind. Looks good. 👍

This guy is amazing but really weird looking. Me thinks he has a problem with stage fright maybe? Great guitarist though. A KFC chicken bucket on his head. That is too funny. @kats

What's the most needed Z part that's currently NLA?
Seems like there is an aftermarket source but I filed mine to a half circle and they fit. No problems after 5 years. Here's the thread that has info.

Seems as relevant today as it was in the 80s. Change some names and whatnot around but basically 2020.

240Z motor mounts were a pain for me. The dowel pins are all for 280Zs now.

We sell Brunswick stew and you are right, every piece of meat we have left at the end of the day goes into the stew. No squirrel meat though.

Machining cylinder head for more compression?
Or you could start straight off in #3 hole on the cam sprocket. It advances the valve train components action. Intake valves open sooner as well as exhaust valves. 8 degrees if I remember right. Read it in the Racer Brown article. I lost some top end, maybe 500 rpm but they're street cars. Red light to red light, no top speed racing around here Edit Hole #2 would be better. A happy middle. I've thought about going back one but that's it, just a thought. They pull hard from about 2,000 to 6,000 or a little more. They're loud that high and I live in fairly small town.

Oh my god at the idiots here in Alabama. "Idiots in Alabama "? that's an oxymoron. They won't get the vaccine for their kids or themselves. Child abuse! My mutt dog gets a Corna HP shot every year. Trumps locked Twitter 12 hours.

COVID-19
These people are most likely getting a government check. Disability, unemployment or some other excuse for poor old pitiful me. Why are they not at work like we are? I just had a week off for Christmas and if I asked for another week my boss would say "take the rest of your life off". "I need you here, working."

Speaking from my past when you do not have stability in your early life you will have insecurity in your later life. Look at me! exactly. The lies you'll tell just to get that recognition. Most people change that way of thinking when the real world hits them. Some do not and I'm watching them on my television. So very sad but I'm not feeling sorry for these fools.

Talk about a Super Spreader event! You can easily spot the undercover law enforcement by their mask they're wearing. Nobody else has one on.

Tensioner sounds
I've always read 2 full turns when spinning by hand is okay, more than that and you need a new clutch. And for the knuckle draggers, some advice, use a piece of cardboard to go in and gradually try and stop it. If you can stop it you need a new one. My experience only. I'm no mechanic FWIW. If you can stop it pretty easy you need a new one, IF YOU CAN'T STOP IT ALL, you need a new one. Sorry but I forgot they do freeze up and sound like an airplane.
