A stock i-6 is not going to beat a stock v-8, especially when its in a Chevelle a car that is made for extreme power. Its idiotic to think it would, I have to agree with everyone else thats posted on this... its fun to rev up the engine and do a quick sprint past the light at an empty intersection, but dont be dumb! Unless u live in BFE (BUTT ****ING EGYPT) there is a strip that u can pay 10 bucks to race on alllllll night withing 20 miles of your house, so just do it there.

sorry to say man and no insult, but putting a blower on a 240z stock i-6... is just stupid if u ask me, just put an L28 on there with turbo(which can get pricey) and u can beat any honda there is, unless they have twin turbo and the works, but unless u live in a very rich neighborhood... they wont.

When you put dri-wash on... can u put a coat of wax over it like 2manyzs said, or do you have to do sumthing else?

Yea, but how many that are in good condition are for sale... none around here, plus i would like to restore a car... would be great to rool down the road in a bad arse Z that I! restored.

Im in a similar situation as monkey although i just turned 16 and am looking for my 1st car, and just like monkey, one look at a 240Z a local kid has got me hooked and i fell in love. Im in a lil better situation than monkey cause i live in texas, but there is still the problem of restoration. I know basics of mechanics, but am i getting in over my head... to restore one, i have about 10k saved up. Is that enough, i mean i know i can get mechanical help and info, bc one of my freinds dads are mechanics. But just let me know what u think, and if u can even provide me with a 240Z... i was looking at the 1971 model, but will settle with one around that year and body stlye. Thanks Whitea207- Alex
