also you can hit anything with soda and it wont damage it, pretty good for cleaning motors and g/boxs. unsure what i'm upto on cleaning up next haha

only downside of soda blasting is it keeps the surface smooth so it needs standing with 80/180 before priming
  7. tri coats vary alot, in australia most mazda/toyota/ nissan consist of a solid base with a pearl topcoat but does vary alot pending colour. Some times the base is metalic along with the topcoat to add more vibrance and cleanliness because it was unachievable by just doin a 2 layer job.
  8. nice, are they they 9.5 version? also did you get a Z radiator in there? ps. wish i had your shed space

Sand blasting is a tricky one. We have had a few cars from various blaster pretty much desrtroyed over the years. What i have been doin is paint stripping the panels first and highlight the areas with pink spray can to show where to hit. This seems by far the best method but you still have to find a good blaster as well which is hard . The guy i have been using uses garnet which is pretty fine and works well, i use the same stuff in my cabinet. I have thought about soda blasting but i think i will just keep doin is this way, atm it's only cost be about 50 for stripper and includeing the price of the blaster to get this stuff done. Still got the wooden hand brake, just trying to replicate a gtr.
