Yes, replace the clutch and surface the flywheel. They both look like they have been hot.

If your battery is very low or weak it can demand a lot from the alternator. Killing it...

    Super cool, Jim!

Get it all out or you will be doing it again. Its easier to buy some floor pans and make a big rectangular hole. Then take a patch piece from the appropriate section of the floor pan. Butt weld, grind, prime. Pretty much an invisible repair
  6. @jfa.series1 Fuel rail appearance?
  7. Yeah, I agree, won't be signing up for Instagram!
  8. When I look at it, the curve is too abrupt on Ryan's car. So if you make the area nicely curved it should distribute the metal out allowing the vertical sides. The way it's supposed to be, That's at least how it looks. I think some dolly work would move it but you could easily stretch the metal. Shrinking might help but you will have to keep your shrink areas very close to each other to prevent other problems. I think the best idea is to find some schedule 40 pipe that is close to the right diameter. Use it as you dolly to reshape the area

Yeah, my thought was welded chambers and grind to shape

I believe that is the best argument for SS bumpers. Humid or salty environment. For me I could probably do either and they would last the rest of my life...

I think if I had my option I would go with hard chrome. I have the SS vietnam bumpers but they haven't been installed yet, but the SS is soft and damages easily. I believe the hard chrome would hold up better
  15. Is that actually Richard Kiel? The video must be a little older. He died in 2014.
  16. Why would you strip to bare metal? I am not sure it's always the best course of action...

The only problem with use Webers is you can really mess up the body and small ports if you crank the idle screws down... Hard to know until you try to tune them or if the screw tip shows in the throttle bore
  18. I can't think of a need to remove it. If you need to peel it slightly at the glass edges for masking, so be it. If it tears some there it will be unnoticeable under the weatherstripping

That looks like a clutch disc that wasn't centered. They couldn't get the tranny to mate up so they used a bolt to pull it together. The damaged probably didn't affect anything

I might have to keep a car like that in the family if its shared so much history. Insure it properly and drive it. You'll have more opportunities soon...
  25. I think the wheels should have graphite centers If you do a proper air dam like a couple of your pictures then silver If you do a BRE spook the graphite is ok The spoiler is silver if the airdam is; graphite if the spook is graphite
