Defogger Grid Removal
Cerium oxide is the traditional method but I routinely polish glass for Cody's car with paint cutting and polishing compounds. Works good, but wont remove the really deep scratches

What fuel tank is this?
Why did you need to switch tanks for the LS swap? Thats an EFI tank. Are the lines not large enough?

Defogger Grid Removal
If I were gonna try this, I would scrape a small area with a razor blade and then polish the glass with something like meguiars mirror glaze on an electric buffer

The stock EFI doesn't like performance camshafts Also I doubt your camshaft is the main problem...

Zx 5 speed rebuild
So I did some measuring Current gear offset is .112 (2.84mm) With the case on and the shaft down as far as it will go the projection into the bellhousing is .110 (2.79mm) With it pulled forward for the snap ring the projection is .195 (4.95mm) The difference is .085 (2.16mm) so the gear offset appears to be .027 (0.69mm)?

Engine leans out over 2400 rpm
I am not the resident efi expert but I'm sure one will chime in. You seem to have hot a lot of the trouble areas already. If it were me I would rig up a fuel pressure gauge I could see from the drivers seat. I suspect your pressure is dropping off. If the pressure holds I would pull the injectors and do a flow test into cups

That's my concern about buying a roll around machine. I'm up for a couple of hundred bucks if it's gonna last but I don't like experimenting. Many of these machines only have a one year warranty. If it's a good machine you aught to be able to warranty it longer than that!
