  1. The R200 is a tougher unit. I might have an open 3.9 in the shop and if by some chance you came across an LSD R200 you would already be set up for it. I do not have the other parts you would need. Terrapin might have those
  2. "Open" as in not Limited Slip. Only one wheel will spin
  3. They worked for me. The dash looks good! How do you like it?

    Sorry to hear that!
  5. I replied in your ad, but why an R180 over an R200?
  6. Got to imagine there are all kinds of nasty surprises on a car like that!
  7. That's a god looking car. Aught to make a good foundation
  8. Those were nice pistons 😞
  9. Piston pins are pressed, not free floating? Do the piston pins move freely? Do you have a dial bore gauge and some mic's? What is the ID of the bore versus the OD of the piston?
  10. Ethanol definitely raises the volatility and it's also hard on a fuel system not designed for alcohol. I try to avoid Ethanol in my boat, mower and small engines. It just doesn't age as well as straight gas does
  11. Our fuels are also vastly different today! They are designed to be more volatile so they burn cleaner. That volatility makes them more prone to vapor lock at lower fuel pressures. Its part of the reason modern cars run higher rail pressures
  12. I like that coil on plug setup!

    Perfect, thanks

Thanks John I have been using your excellent templates! They are very helpful Is the "central air duct outlet" the one bolted to the heater box or the thinner one that connects the dash to the heater box?

You might be right. I have found some bolts like the crank pulley bolt can be hard to plate too. My biggest concern when plating the cap clips were concerns about embrittlement. They also don't like to plate evenly because of their shapes
  16. I vote Yes, Since you already have the rear bar and it's in such nice condition

Made some more progress on the heater box a couple of weekends ago Core Adding foam I don't really care for the white foam showing, but I guess it doesn't matter I stripped this and have since replated it. I have also softened the Oring in detergent, but haven't tested it yet

I finally finished the distributor. The cap clips were tough to get plated properly. I did them 3 times. They will have to do... On another note, is there a source for the plug and boot for the module? The one I have is pretty ratty

Would suck to mess that up!!

@madkaw How noisy was the debris in the cylinder?

That would be good info for the technical resource area. Glasurit paints are still available, as far as i know. Maybe people could add there paint formulas for factory color match and provide the specs for the paint they used

That's super cool you were able to make that contact Kats!
  23. 18 inches might be enough to get into the transmission. I'm not sure you're gonna be able to sort this without removing the rear transmission case
