Transformers 3
Ok, so they dont stop killing what was once dear to most of our childhood lives ( well those born in the late 70's-early 80's ) and are coming out with a 3rd edition to the on going destruction of a great part of cartoon history. With the overwhelming misuse of computer generated effects and sculpting I could hardly tell what was the Autobots face and what was his a**. Well theirs no turning back time and rewriting the horrible plot let alone the design teams terrible ideas on how today's Robots in disguise should look but I stumbled upon something today that kinda makes things a tad bit better. The all new, all old, Bumble Bee. But as history always repeats they will probably kill the design halfway through the movie and Bumble Bee would probably take on the form of some outlandish looking concept car.

Post your shaved bumpers
What air dam/kit is that? I love that car man, that thing is friggin damn nice! I could do without the molded body parts personally but that thing is superb. I miss the cars built like that one back in the 80's. Kids today dont realize that their was a clean tunner like scene back then. Now its donk this and dub that.

Yup, 76 280. Runs great but needs cosmetic work. The interior is killer. Black and saddle leather brown but kinda worn.

Anyone in Delaware
Hello! Anyone? Ironically enough I asked my manager at work if she knew anyone selling any Z's in the area and she knows someone in Wilmington that races 'em.

Window cleaning
Depending n what it really is autogeek.net has some good glass cleaning products. I have also used a 10" orbital buffer. I just sprayed the glass with some Stoners foaming cleaner and went over it with the orbital and a terry cloth bonnet.

Non chrome bumpers
Thanks. I figured there is one of each way I mentioned floating around here somewhere. What I really wanna do when I get my Z is something like yours preith, in your avatar pic.

Non chrome bumpers
I have been doing a search and Im coming up short. I see lots of Z's with kits and all and some have the chrome bumpers and some dont. Is this part of the kit, are some of you removing the chrome bumper and doing some extra work, or are you just simply painting the chrome?

Offset
Well, Im new to the site but Im generally no noob to wheels. I am very inspired by the VIP scene. Currently I have 19x8.5 on my LS with a offset of +38 and I just put my adjustable coil overs on so Im doing that with a tucked 235/35/19 and I have room to grow. Now when I purchase my Z which is hopefully soon I plan on maybe doing a staggered set up. I want a general idea of stock configurations for when I pull the fenders or fab up some fender blisters cause I really wanna press a 10"wide rear with a very low offset. Probably wont go any bigger than 17 and would like to tuck tire and let the rim sit flush with the fenders but I want some meat on the rubber this time around. Im buying a Z in poor condition so I have a good project car and chances are the wheel configuration wont be that of stock so I kinda just want to know. Also, can the 4 lug hubs be swapped for the later models 5 lug hubs? Thanks!

Asspiring enthusiast says:Hey whats up!
Thanks. Im guna stick around here and read, read, read. I have been reading some on HybridZ but Im gunna hold off on joining till I actually get the car. I have a few in my sight now pretty cheap with minor body damage which "given my intent";) dont bother me. I really like Z cars and if I can eventually I'll get one for restoration as well. My reason for wanting to mod one now is that you can find one cheaper and easier with some damage to the parts modders/tuners or what ever you wanna call them/us/me.. usually end up replacing with aftermarket anyway.

Offset
Can someone fill me in on the stock offset for a 70 240Z? Does it stay the same through out the years for all 240's/260's/280's? Also how low/aggressive of a offset can you go with without any type of fender modification?

Asspiring enthusiast says:Hey whats up!
Ok so as long as I can remember I loved the style of Z cars in general of almost any year up to about 80 I guess. Im currently shopping around for one and decided to join the forum for some info. Questions: What should I look for when purchasing? What model Z and year are the best? I really like the earlier years solid looks best myself. What are the differences in the 240's and 260's? ________________________ Currently I have a 2000 Lincoln LS modded with what little we have readily available like 19x8.5 ADR M-Sports in hyper silver. Custom made Intake kit and Magnaflow exhaust. I also have a custom made up adjustable coil-over kit coming to try to drop it lower than whats available with the three brands of lowering springs for our car. Other than that its simple stuff not worth mentioning. We also have a daily driver 2004 Toyota Highlander. Im more into a VIP style and plan on going sporty with the Z when I purchase it along with either adding fender flares or a ton of pull to widen its stance and get a very aggressive fitment with wheels. Well I dont think I could have left out much but Im sure I'll have more questions to come. Now Im off to use the search function!
