  1. Does anyone know the output ranges and corresponding reading on the oil pressure sensor/gauge and the fuel sender/gauge? I have a 1970 with new sending units but the gauges are suspect. Thanks for any help. Mike
  2. After looking through the past threads, it seemed that the spacer was from the passenger side. Not! When I reassembled the front suspension, I found that the sway bar contacted the large bracket for the air pump and A/C compressor. Aha! In my case the spacer was from the left side. It tilts the engine enough to clear the sway bar by about 1/4". PITA to go back and switch it. Mike
  3. Damn, you could have just said, "right side, maybe...." Mike
  4. Hey Guys, I dropped the crossmember on my 1970 Z and on one of the motor mounts, there was a metal plate between the engine mounting bracket and the engine mount itself. Only problem is; I don't remember which side it came from! I think it was on the left side, just not sure. Please help. Mike
  5. I have cleaned up my steering rack on my '70 and found a nylon or plastic piece screwed into the housing. The thread were broken off in the housing. I think it is the 'grease reservoir'. Cannot find one sold by all the usual suspects. Can I just plug the hole and call it a day? Mike
  6. Anyone have a source for the small u joint in the lower steering column. I'd like to replace mine but cannot find anyone who sells them. Mike
  7. Zedyone, I assume your car is lowered. Are those Panasports? What size and offset? Very cool look! Mike
  8. Arne, I am lowering my '70 with the Tokico spring and Lumina strut package. Can you suggest the correct offset for a 15x7 rim? For tires, I guess 195.60's would be a good choice. I am using stock brake calipers and drums. I don't want any rubbing issues. Mike
  9. The 14" wheels are available now. The 15x6 and x7 should be available this summer. Here is the email address to inquire: hapwaldrop@acmespeedshop.com . I found the info on the MGexperience.net website. Go there and search 'Libre wheels' , good pictures on the thread. Mike
  10. Nice! Are there caps for your wheels? The Retro 4 wheels have a glossy silver or charcoal finish on the four 'spokes'. Probably easier to clean. Mike
  11. VTO is reproducing a Libre-look wheel. I am thinking about getting a set. Anyone have pictures of their Z with Libre's? Here is the website of the seller: www.acmespeedshop.com Mike

Will 280Z seats fit in a 1970 Z without modification?
  17. Thanks, Arne. I contacted ZSource, they had sent the wrong harnesses. They sent the right ones and gave me a shipping label to send the others back. BTW, pardon the dumb question: With the key off, if I step on the brake pedal, shouldn't the brake lights come on? Mike
  18. The connectors on my '70 Z (5/70) are large. When I order a harness, I get ones with small connectors. What is he correct size? The connector from the harness has the larger connector. See pics.
  19. Well, Datsun called what we and the English would call the half-shafts, the drive shafts. What we call the drive shaft, is the propeller shaft to Datsun. Mike
  20. Thanks, I like the Valvoline, except that it is gray-black. I am going to tackle the other one. This time I think I will try to replace the balls and spacers to the groove they came from. Mike
  21. OK, I did it! What a bitch to get those balls and spacers back in! Here is the finished piece. Mike
  22. Moogrr, Great post. I have finally undertaken this job. Just as you described. Here is an early picture. When it is all done, I'll post the final result. Mike
