1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
Yes, definitely cool to have VIN twins, not as cool as your twins for sure. I drove my 71 to go see the car to have them next to each other just in case I didn't end up buying it. Here are some pic I managed to save from the ad before the seller removed it. Super straight, no rust, quarters never repaired and still have the factory spot weld marks, same with rockers. It seemed to have its factory paint but aftermarket mirrors have been added to the doors . Dash is 99.9% crack free, there was a 1/8" or less star shape clean pattern barely noticeable i found. Comes with all parts including #'s matching motor plus a spare L24. Interior is all in place including all body panels, minus front hood and headlight buckets which as mentioned are included.

1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
Not sure what I'm doing at this point, went a bit overboard. I've become the Floyd Mayweather of Z Cars minus the millions in the bank. Yes, 40mm, Mikuni manifold, but to be honest I'm not sure if they're type R's. It was a brand new complete set in the original box I purchased from a guy who bought them in the early 80's but had never installed them. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
Thank you. OK, I just did a crazy thing this morning. Saw a 71 series 1 for sale on CL with the drive train/suspension completely removed but included, VIN# 15652, only 1 VIN# before my 71 series one. Dash is crack free, comes with a flawless original window sticker, warranty booklet/card, paperwork, etc... I ended up buying it. Guess the color.

Yes, it's a TT with 14K original Miles. Not originally pictured is my 88 Turbo SS with 8K miles. I ended up with all white cars without planning on it. Thanks to all for the comments. Here are some pics.

1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
I ended up purchasing this Z and arrived this morning. The seller was very helpful throughout the process. It's now parked next to my 1971 series 1 which is also a 904 White with Blue interior. I paid more than what it was originally listed for but less than what some guesstimated, so I'm happy with the purchase. It needs a lot of work, but over all pretty solid and runs good. Not sure exactly what my plans are at this time but I will be changing out the door panels, recovering the seats and switching sides since they are currently mounted incorrectly. I understand and agree with members that thought it should have sold for the original asking price when someone offered to buy it, but at the same time I understand the seller wanting more money when people suggested it was worth more. Regardless, that's in the past and here we are now.

Clean '73 240Z at a Very Low Price!
I remember this car or one very similar that was for sale recently for $13,000. Here's a screen shot of the other car or possibly the same car. I come across from time to time where scammers take existing cars from CL and post it in other states or cites for a a low and tempting price.

Square Port Fujitsubo??? JDM Header
Looks like you're right. Thanks for the info. I've never ran this setup myself but they were clearly designed off of the Fujitsubo which I do have on my Z.

Square Port Fujitsubo??? JDM Header
The circumference is 5 3/8" so 1.7" diameter or 43.5mm. It does look and little bigger right after it drops down. The square port measurement is 1.5" top to bottom and 1.25" side to side

1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
I've made two attempts to contact the seller starting two weeks ago and have had no response yet. I think the car was priced a little low and prob more in the $12k-$13k range based on the condition from pics. Considering shipping costs for out of state buyers, I would say it would have been a great buy. If the seller was not sure about pricing the car, then he should not have listed a price that he was looking to get. Suggestion to the seller the next time you want to sell a car and don't know the value, list the car on eBay with a million dollar reserve, start the auction at a penny and see what it ends for. That will give you an idea of what people are willing to pay for it with no risk to you.

Weatherstrip
Thank you all for helping out. I'm going to attempt the OEM separate Welt/Rubber then go with the KIA option if it does not work out.

Weatherstrip
While I continue researching this further, what year Kia Sportage are people using? I've read about this before but I keep seeing the same suggestion and referencing the junkyard but no year or new Dealer part number. AZ-240z, Did you use the factory welt and rubber weather strip that attach separately or the one that was one joined as one piece?
-
Weatherstrip
Thanks for the feedback. I'm really trying stay original. I am waiting for one last try with a new OEM weather strip that uses the Factory welt separately and see what happens. I've only tried the original that has the welt attached to the rubber. I will try armorall and silicone spray as suggested. Basically it only closes if I only use the welt or no welt at all. It closes with one finger no effort and clinks perfectly like a brand new Lexus. Issues arise when any rubber introduced. The door and latch is lined up and worked prior to my attempting to renew the driver weatherstrip.

Weatherstrip
Hello all, I have now literally spent over $1000 on every available door weatherstrip I can get my hands on from genuine Nissan to every aftermarket I can possibly think of. Welt attached to the rubber, genuine separate welt, genuine welt with rubber and they all suck. I can get them on but my door will not close. The door is not a problem, I've adjusted, the latch mechanism is all new OEM parts and nothing works. The door closes perfectly with only the welt but any rubber and it's game over. if I can get this to work I'm literally going to sell my car. I would rather rebuild an engine with only having a screwdriver then do this ever again.

Brand New Set of Complete Reproduction 240z Door Panels
Yes, I have test fitted them, see pics below. I have auto Windows on mine so I didn't have the window crank installed for the pic. Overall they fit pretty well. Very little to minimal persuasion to make them fit. I had no issues but only very little with lining up the clips and they worked out.
