I've decided what my winter project for this year is going to be. I am going to do an upper engine rebuild. Since I know I need to adjust/clean my valve and replace valve stem seals, I figure I'll just do the whole damn thing. With that being said, I have a couple of questions: What is the best head gasket to buy for this car? Also, the Delorean has piston liners with seals at the bottom that can be broken if the head isn't removed at the exact proper angle (learned that the hard way) I'm sure the Z isn't the same way but are there any little hints you guys could offer that would save me a headache?

I have a one piece but don't use it. It's kind of hard to put on. I promised it to KDMatt but I haven't heard from him in a while. Anyway, take more pics of that car. I would love to see her.

Thanks! I figured the wiring out. I put in a relay and in-line fuse. Everything seems to work very well. the cases I bought have not arrived yet but I've made sure they would work with y h.i.d.'s. Hopefully I'll get them in just in time to put the car away for the season.

I just bought a center bezel that goes around the climate control from that guy. Mine was cracked and I am so happy to get a new one for such a good price.

I just got a set of H.I.D. headlights. I'm not talking the blue halogen H.I.D. simulated bulb, I'm talking the actual high intensity discharge headlight with the control module for each light. I've never messed with these before and am not exactly sure how to wiring them into the car. My main concern is safety. I know the headlight harness needs a relay. That's the easy part. But as far as what else goes where... I'm a bit lost. Does any one have any suggestions? If you've done this before, I could really use your help.

Somehow I doubt that's ever going to happen. I may fall in love with another car, but I'll never fall out of love with Kharma. Well, shimmering silver ink to match the shimmering silver car!

The alarm I installed on my Z has a shock sensor, merc switches and a voltage monitor. If the alarm is triggered, the starter is disabled. And I hid it under that panel between the hood and the windshield. That way, it would be rather difficult to get to it. I thought it would be a good idea since someone already messed with my locks. Now I have to replace those too. By the way? Did you get your Z back? When my pink Hyundai was stolen, the guy didn't get very far because he didn't know how to drive a stick. If only he had stolen the automatic Mercedes-Benz that was running and unlocked next to my Hyundai, he would have gotten away.

This is my third tattoo and I've been dying for something Z related. (The guy who did the tattoo was so excited about my car. He had to call his girlfriend and tell her about it.) Sorry for the aweful picture, but all I had was my camera phone. So this is what I did last night. It's still a little swollen and stuff, but you can see it pretty well. My friends think I'm stupid but hopefully you guys will understand. This is the one of what I hope to be many.

He's got a lot of work in that car. However, hardly anything is left original. In my expirence, a classic car is worth far more in it's original state rather than modified to this extreme. The poor thing has been molested. That Z on the speaker box is the most hideous thing I've ever seen. And the interior color is too light. And those wheels!!! Oh boy. ... But that just goes to show you. What one Z owner loves, another Z owner may hate. The car is far too driver specific. He'd have a lot more luck selling that thing for that kind of money if it were more universal and closer to it's original state. A person who has that kind of money and wants an original Z wouldn't look twice at that car. I do admire all the blood, sweat and tears that poured out over her. Now, for those of us (like myself) who are spiritually joined to their Z "'til death do us part", I suppose it doesn't much matter how original it stays, considering how we're never going to sell our cars. (However, the further away from stock I stray, the more nervous I become.)

There is a bumper sticker on the back of one of the Hyundais that reads "I'd Rather Be Driving My Delorean" I am totally cool with advertising the car I can't drive everyday. When someone is riding behind me, squinting through the rain, that's the last thing I want them to realize before they hit me in the arse. I would most certianly wear a Classic Z Car Club plate frame on my Neon, and my other Neon and all kinds of Hyundais. That would be awesome!!!!! Put me down for 4!!!

I do love those turbine wheels, guys. I suppose I am always open to suggestion, though. There are another type of wheels in existance I have fallen in love with but I have no idea how to describe them. I was driving through good old Cedar Lake, IN when I saw a 280ZX parked in some dudes front yard. I wipped my Z around and stopped at the guys house to talk to him. It wasn't in great shape but it was still a Z and I hadn't seen one in person since I bought mine. Anyway, I digress. The wheels he had were amazing (although, he would not sell them to me). Maybe I'll go back and take some pictures if I can catch him home. But I still think I am leaning towards those turbine wheels. I love them on the Delorean, and although they are totally different cars, I would love them on the Z. Thanks again for the input and information. I don't know where I would be without you guys. All my love.
