Fun with Rats! I picked up a 300zx turbo the other day. Well I knew going in there were critter problems. In the back they had a field day with tail light section. I mean, not just chewed, full course meal missing a few feet of about 6 wires. I got some of their previous hack mechanic stuff undone and gave it a shot trying to start, nothing. Checked all fuses, relays, links. Since no start, I figured I would check what did work. Lights, wipers, and Ac fan came on fine, but I could here what sounded like debris and figures they made a nest was in the fan blower. At this point I was hoping to not have to pull the dash. As I was removing the ECU I could see little pieces of wire sitting on top of it. Sure enough the main harness plug was full throttle dinner! They even managed to chew one of the 10 gauge wires straight through. Hardest part is they chewed some of the wires right to the plastic. Hard to tell from the pics but at least 12 wires.

Like rturbo said late 87, past 5/87 to 89 Turbo. The 88 shiro edition you can't use your stock axels. Normal turbos you can. The rear cover of the LSD will also need to be swapped for your stock one or get an after market bracket to keep it. Youll also have to change the prop shaft flange from yours. Easiest test if your searching junk yards is both wheels when up turn the same direction. If they don't take the cover off and verify it has the LSD in. Expect to pay $500 to $1000. I got lucky with my last one for $137 with axles from pick and pull.

If your car came with an r200 then all you have to do is replace with a LSD unit. Axles slide right in. If your not making tons of power the stock axles will be fine.

Thanks. I just put 205/55-16 on my old school Enkei 92, 16x7 +0. My buddy just did 225/50-16 on Rotas but was worried about rubbing so he rolled his fenders. Didn't want to go through that and the .79 difference to wasn't worth that hassle, just in case.

I didn't have any problems with the optima other than height.

Is that a custom bracket for the optima battery? I had to use a block under mine so I could use the stock battery hold down on my optima.
