Five speed vs three speed
Here is a good calculater. You have 3.54's with that automatic.Same as my 810 wagon.I'm transplanting a 620 5-speed and it'll be just what i ordered. As to the top end,you don't HAVE to use 5th gear on surface streets. Ooops..... http://www.wallaceracing.com/calcmph.php

Blonde Joke:
Why don't blondes make Kool-aid? They can't figure out how to fit two quarts of water into that little envelope.

Hello Everybodies!
Nope my FACT.From other boards that were a PITA (like you describe)untill a "cyber bar room" was installed and the moderators daily load was cut by 3/4s.Plus if it is kept to the "bar room",no-one can complain as they would have top intentionally access that "section".Win-win for everyone.

Hello Everybodies!
This would be IN-correct. A forum that has a"corner" for humor & other things while keeping the tech forums"in-line" is a much better place.

Z Car Dot Com Was Sold?
I think it wouldn't take much effort to "gut Zcar.com". Owner/mods have been for a long time and it has gotten worse,if that is possible.

The wife and i had some fun with some moron who claimed he was selling a Hyacinth Macaw for $400.($5000 bird)He wigged out when i said i'd have my friend pick him up.- Ignition problem.

If you hear"no noises",nothing is being hurt. Yes,sir!- Synchromesh worn out?
Like Steve said-match RPMs and don't use the clutch. If you can shift the trans without using the clutch and no "sounds" are heard from the box, your synchros are healthy and your problem lies elsewhere.- Synchromesh worn out?
Can you shift the tranny without useing the clutch?- competition hood interest?
This is a 38 post topic. How about pics & pricing posted HERE?- efi to carb swap?

- Think My ECU is failing? Anyone have one?
Sounds like you (and a few others here)need to have all the joints checked. After thinking about this,it is "POSSIBLE"that a impact had an effect on the joints, but 9 out of 10 times a joint fails it's from age and/or vibration.Check them all with a magnifying glass.Failed joints are obvious if you know what to look for.- Might of Killed a Gremlin
THis is not what's happening. The solder joints have failed.THe pins as you call them are "L" shaped. They go thru the case, make a 90 degree turn and land on the circuit board.the solder joint where they attach to the board is what has failed.Have a electronics guy check the joints in your ECU.- Think My ECU is failing? Anyone have one?
The normal culprits are the solder joints on the tabs that the wiring loom plug fits. They go thru the case and make a 90 degree turn and land on the circuit board.- Think My ECU is failing? Anyone have one?
Sounds like bad solder joints. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36903&highlight=ECM- what after market EFI will work for a 75z??
