- Under the Hood After the overheating incident in May of '09, i completely rebuilt the engine. I accidentally bought a new head from a unreliable source, but luckily there was only one problem with it. I bought a new piston set and had a local guy clean up the block and install the new pistons and bearings. I stripped everything out of the engine bay and treated the rust, then repainted it in the BRG color. I had the valve cover powder coated black.
