i need a few stats for an L28 injected engine...

what i need are Torque settings for:

*Big end bearings

*Mains

*Head bolts

also i need measurements for:

*Ring end gap

*Bearing to journal clearance

what i need are Torque settings for:

Haynes manual says:

*Big end bearings

big end bolts? - 35lb/ft (L28)

*Mains

Main bearinh cap bolts - 40lb/ft (could onlyfind this in L24-26 section)

*Head bolts (L28)

stage 1 - 29

stage 2 - 47 (L24, 26: - 40lb/ft)

stage 3 - 60

i need all this so my mecanic can finish my car, its an 82' 280ZX ill try & post a picture up for ya.....

ive never driven it yet, so it should be really cool, how would a L28 injected compare to and L26 with twin flat tops?

They are both auto's, my 260z 2+2 is the only zed ive driven so far, i hope the 280ZX will go as well....

anyone else know the rest?

Mellow, I've got the specs for bearing clearance and ring end gap at home. If nobody beats me to It I'll get it posted in a couple of hours.

BTW would anybody have the torqe specs when using ARP bolts?

Mellow here they are:

Piston ring gap:

Top. .0098-.0157

2nd. .0059-.0118

Oil. .0120-.0354

Piston ring side clearance:

Top. .0016-.0029

2nd .0012-.0025

Oil. .0009-.0028

Con Rod big end play .008-.012 (side to side)

Main bearing running clearance standard .0008-.0026 max .0047

Con Rod running clearance .009-.0026 max .0047
