VIN plate

Featured Replies

The "Nissan" vin plate in my '74 260Z is really badly faded and almost unreadable.

Any thoughts on how to improve the clarity or is there anyway to get a replacment ?

Your best bet is to try to match the black paint ( usually a flat or satin ) lightly spayed then use a pick or something of that matter to clean or scratch out the letters and numbers.

Good luck,

Dave.

BANZAI MOTORWORKS sells VIN plates (and many repro Stickers etc found on S30 Z cars) for 240Z's, I don't know if they offer them for 260Z's

Of course my suggestion was for any one keeping it bone stock or running the penny pincher route:classic:

thanks for the tips - checked the BANZAI site but couldn't see any 260Z stuff.

Might check with local Nissan dealer if they can shed an light on this
