Power Windows on an 83 280zx

Can anyone tell me where the relay/fuse for the power windows is located in the car. My book doesn't have the proper location. Apparently there were some design changes between the 82 and 83. Both windows will not operate. No electrical to them at all.

Thanks.

Tim.

I am having the same thing happen with my 2/82 production 280zx coupe. The hayne's manual show a location in the passenger kick panel but I do not see the relay/fuse for the windows. Also all my fuses in the fuse box has power going through them . If anyone knows please help.

The problem is not a fuse it is a circuit breaker! It is a small cadmium plated box with two wires coming out approx 1" x1.5" and it is bolted(or at least supposed to be) to the upper side of the passenger footwell. It is a universal part and about $3 to $8 depending on the retailer.

If you still have trouble PM me and I will shoot a picture from a parts car and send it to you.

Will

Your question:

Can anyone tell me where this breaker is on a 83 zx? My windows have stopped working and there is no power going to the switch.

Isn't this the answer?:

It is a small cadmium plated box with two wires coming out approx 1" x1.5" and it is bolted(or at least supposed to be) to the upper side of the passenger footwell.

Removed earlier post since I finally found the item where above posts said it was. Whew!
