i have a 73 Z with wipers that dont want to return to the "off" position , the intermittent position does nothing also,, i would think they are connected in some way, anyone have this problem before??

Due to the fact that both settings are screwy... I think you have a switch problem. Have you tried taking it apart and cleaning out the contacts?

If so, you might need to use a voltage meter to isolate the problem to the switch. And, if it's failing... replace it.
