September 22, 20177 yr Author comment_530771 Ok, electrical issue sorted (bad alternator) and back at it. Did a log tonight here...hot and humid out......165/230 92117 by blodi, on Flickr 155/225 still seems best...might start there again and then start testing the e tubes. September 22, 20177 yr comment_530774 Glad you are sorted. Yes that run looks nice but as you say 0.5 point leaner will be nicer. September 22, 20177 yr comment_530786 I did a comparison and the newest data (green) now looks normal across the rpm range. The160/230 (pink) run seems anomalous with the big hump in the middle and may not be valid. The data also shows that the 225 and 230 air correctors are too close to make a difference. I am now thinking the drilled 238 may be flowing more than a "manufactured 238". So a 235 or 240 air corrector may flatten the curve. Removing the pink data gives: Edited September 22, 20177 yr by 240260280 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/?&page=12#findComment-530786 Share on other sites
September 22, 20177 yr comment_530787 Could you please try the 160/230 again to rule out the anomalous data? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/?&page=12#findComment-530787 Share on other sites
September 25, 20177 yr Author comment_530994 Will do. I'll pop it back in tonight. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/?&page=12#findComment-530994 Share on other sites
September 27, 20177 yr Author comment_531101 Ok......160/230 again....much more inline with what we would expect....maybe overlay this with the 155/225 and see which we think is the better baseline to begin e-tube testing...... 92617 by blodi, on Flickr Edited September 27, 20177 yr by blodi Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/?&page=12#findComment-531101 Share on other sites
September 27, 20177 yr comment_531112 The data seems to scale correctly now but the air is not doing enough to raise the top end and flatten the curve. I think a manufactured 240 air with 165 fuel is needed. The 160/230 is the best combo so far. Please keep the 160/230 and give the new E-tubes a spin! September 27, 20177 yr Author comment_531127 F11's are in! Took a log this morning on the way into work. I'll get another one on the way home and upload tonight. But on watching the gauge it seems much richer throughout...though maybe flatter? F16 vs F11.... September 29, 20177 yr comment_531291 F11 is slightly flatter but richer overall. F2 will be interesting. I am traveling and will post plots Friday evening. Great work to collect so fast. I am impressed. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/56375-weber-selection-and-initial-jet-tuning/?&page=12#findComment-531291 Share on other sites
