Who did the polishing for you??

Proud to say that I did it myself. I used the polishing advice posted on some thirdgen.org posts, very good info on how to do it right. its really not that hard, you just have to finish each step PERFECTLY (just like the instructions say) before you go on to the next grit of sandpaper.

I picked up a heavy duty bench grinder and a buffing pad. You can get the buffing pads and polishing sticks at any home stores or wood working shops. It takes a little time but works great.

man, those are some awesome looking SUs! Giving props where props are due.

Where did you find that oil cap by the way? Overall, thats one sweet looking engine ya got there!

The oil cap came from ebay, it went well with the blue engine and wires. Spent this winter polishing anything that would buff up to a shine, what else is there to do when its 8 above and snowing.

I am off to buy a buffing pad with HD Grinder:cry:

I used the old fashioned elbow grease and it come up ok but nothing like that.

And to boot I had sore fingers which were mangled and black from the aluminium as well as the missus shaking her head at me all day thnking I was once again nuts

:ermm:

Heu Sparuns

You should call that motor "Sacre Blueau"ROFL

Looks Great however I would have proably gone with teh white headers myself.

You now have given me something to aim for:D

biker,

I was going to have them chromed but ran out of time. Wanted to get the engine back in and running. Sounds like a summer project to me.
