What are these holes for on drivers side of console? Thank you

Probably pass through holes for wiring an aftermarket ARA air conditioning control switch panel. That's about where the one on my '71 was located. When I updated to a newer style A/C set up a few years ago, I filled the holes and refinished the console. My new control panel attaches at the lower edge of the dash.
