fuel problem

Featured Replies

I can't figure this out. Everytime I brake hard, then come to a stop, my RPM's drop to the point of almost stalling. Then, after a few seconds, the RPM's pick back up. Could this weight transfer affect the fuel to the carbs?? Maybe not enough fuel in the float chamber?? The harder I brake the worse it gets. Anyone have an answer???

Check the vacuum lines coming off the brake booster. It sounds like your problem. I had the same problem and I replaced the hoses and it fixed it.

I have something like this too. Whenever I make a hard U turn to the left, I mean squealing the tires U turn. My car wants to quit, rpm's drop and a few seconds later she comes back to normal.

????

I never thought much of it. I just quit making those quick U turns.

:classic: Ed, how do you get the tires to squeal on ICE ? read above post.ROFL Gary Or is this tire noise from memory ?
