Just got an email from Hagerty News...... "Fuel efficient Classics" lists the early Z's getting 22-25 mpg's. I remember back in 72, my 4 speed Z getting 27 mpg on Sunoco, Shell and Citgo regular gas.

Yep! On a mostly freeway road-trip I get 26 mpg. However, in-town, I get only about 15, but it may be how I drive... :)
