Ive got a 125k motor and 4 speed i want to get rid of and was wondering what its worth.. Car ran great when i yanked em out. Doing a V8 conversion and its almost there , could use cash for more parts.. Opinions please?

Anywhere from free to a couple hundred bucks if you're lucky.

bummer... woulda thought the carbs would be worth that by themselves.

The carbs are worth some by themselves, I was only considering the long-block/trans. The carbs would bring in an extra $150 or so, if they need a rebuild.

L24 long block is a hard sell. They have the most value when paired with the matching number car. Beyond that, most people in need of a motor would just as soon get an L28 instead. Similar issue with the 4 speed.

^arne, why? Is a L28 swap that much of a plug and play?
