Heater box for 71 240z

Featured Replies

I have an early build 1971 240z( July 1970) that is in need of a heat box. Can you direct me to a supplier? Does anyone know if the heater box of a later model will fit in a 1971? Many thanks.

I haven't noticed any significant difference 70 though 73. The "box" is one thing - do you have a good heater core? Pretty difficult to find new core replacements. Some places list them - but when you order they really don't have them - or they have parts that are "supposed" to fit but don't. Heater cores might be the next thing that have to be reproduced..

Good luck,

Carl

The heater box assembly itself is the same '70-'73. If your heater core is bad, a radiator shop can repair it. In fact, have it refreshed NOW while the box is out of the car!

I have a complete heater box assembly from a '73. Email me: jrt3833@hotmail.com if interested.

Good thread on rebuilding the box here... http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/thread23409.html

Mine came out great. Blasting/painting and replacing the padding took a bunch of time though.
