Another Brake Booster Question

Blue, how on earth did you separate the two parts of the booster? All I do is bend studs!

So i got the booster apart with a moderate amount of bleeding and fussing.... Turns out that the diaphragm is torn and in fairly bad shape but all there. What could I do about that? Would a 280z diaphragm work? Is there something I could fix it with? Or is this the end of my booster?:disappoin

Not sure about parts that can swap. Whole boosters can swap though.

A 280z booster will swap? I know where a 77 280z is with one...

Yup, Even a 280zx will fit. You may have to drill some holes for the larger ones. Here is a big 280zx on an early 240z

Note the 280z booster is smaller.

Thanks Blue, good to know I can use one of them if I need to. I just discovered that a local Autozone store by my house has the booster for my car for $113.00 with the core. If there isn't one there in stock Ill go with either Racepages or the used 280z one I found. Thanks!
