That's the same balance tube and configuration as on my very late '71, Dan.

Yes, both of my master-vac hoses have badly aged cloth tapes on them. No way they're going to come off intact. No idea what to use to replicate that. I suspect that they used to be labels back in the day, similar to the ones Dan pictured.
