i have 240z with 280zx 5 speed transmition.i want to buy the original woden shift knob but i don't no if it will fit in my tranny or not?i don;t know the 280zx have the same tranny stick for the 240 4 speed or not?

i know it's ritten 4 speed but i don't car becouse i want the original look.please help me.

It should fit. To my knowledge the threads are the same. If not, you could always use a late 4 speed shifter, which will fit the tranny (I have one in my car).

The actual "ZX" shift lever generally doesn't fit in a 240Z (at least not the early cars) so it is very likely that you actually have a 240Z shift lever anyway.
